That one is fake. The serial number prefix J4K- has ONLY been used in fakes, the plant code is invalid for 1994, the leather shows signs of overstretching which is why it has those small wrinkles all over, the serial number stamping is TOO perfect, the shapes of both the leather and brass parts of the turnlock are COMPLETELY wrong for a briefcase supposedly made in 1994.

Note Coach's picture of a genuine style 5278 Spencer Brief from their Holiday 1995 catalog showing the right turnlock set for 1995 and before. That squared-off turnlock on the fake wasn't even available until 1996, the fake has a year and month code for September 1994.

It's authentic. It might be style 4659 but I don't know the year or actual style name.
