Hey all! I posted the eBay links to the following bags a few days ago - I have since received the bags and taken clearer photos to help with authentication:

Item Name: convertible clutch?
Dimensions (in inches):
- length = 11
- width = 7
- depth = 3
- strap drop = 16

Probably ok but it's a very early version, maybe late 60s to mid-70s - note how the strap is clipped right to the body of the bag. It's probably an early Convertible Clutch style 9635 but by 1976 that style already had the D-ring kind of attachment so it has to be earlier than that.

Very few of us are experts in the early styles, but Tetondeb is one of the few who are. You may want to PM her or check back through her blog since she's very busy with moving ATM, she may have pictures of that style somewhere.

I recently called Jax to request tags for 3 bags "my MIL had given me for my birthday from her vintage collection." I requested BT, bottle green and navy...I received BT, navy and a solid brass one. Got lucky, I guess!
I called Jax last summer and gave them the creed no. for a bottle green hangtag. the CSR said they had one in that color. However a brass colored one arrived with a note the green wasn't in stock. Disappointed but I may now try a Coach store to see if any in stock. You lucked out Joodlz!

Hello all. I have been DREAMING of owning a Coach Court bag. I have found two ebay listings that seem to be genuine items, but I would love to have some feedback! I am very very new to this!

Item: Coach Court #9870
Listing number: 131193474926
Seller: jessikascloset
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/131193474926?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
Comments: The leather does look a bit wrinkly and squashed which makes me wonder.

Comments: This is the one I have sort of been leaning towards.

Thank you so much!!

The first one's genuine but I'd be concerned with the wear on the bottom corners as well as the wrinkled leather. It also seems like something's been applied to the bag that makes the leather extra dark and shiny, and I don't trust bags that don't look like natural Coach leather.

The second one looks ok.

If she's smart, she'll tell you to just destroy the bag. She can't relist nor can she sell it anywhere so it's foolish for either of you to spend money to ship the bag back to her.

Let us know her response, and if necessary, refer your seller here.
Happy to say the seller responded almost immediately with a full refund and, of course, no requirement to send a counterfeit purse back in the mail. Too bad the bag is treated leather ... my dog always likes a new chew toy. :doggie: As ever, thank you and Hyacinth for your help! :flowers:
