Authentic style 98134, scribble print silk scarf.

uh oh ... have I been burned??? :wtf:

serial number was listed as "Serial No. G4B-9927"
I didn't ask for a clearer picture of the creed (stoopid, I know)
the bag finally showed up and the serial number is 0444-316 (photo attached)
Also, a nylon zipper on a vintage Coach bag? And the padding around the turnlock is off.

Item: Vintage Coach Willis Bag (Green) Purse Crossbody
Seller: futaridesu012
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Coa...6rWBuwiNgZ3O6G%2F%2F4%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

Thank you!

Yes, you got burned - contact the seller IMMEDIATELY and tell her the bag is a confirmed fake and is NOT the one listed in the auction which means it's Significantly Not As Described. Af she doesn't issue a FULL refund immediately including all shipping charges, tell her that you'll file a SNAD dispute with either Ebay or Paypal - wait for others here to advise on which one would be better to file a claim with. Then file a claim right away with whichever one BeenBurned suggests.

That serial number is ALWAYS fake and is listed on the Fake Numbers list here at tPF. The fake number is almost readable in the listing photos but the stamping mark all around the number is visible.

The stamping of the number is also wrong, you already noticed that the padded area above the turnlock is wrong, the strap is wrong and the buckle itself seems wrong, and "scrtches" is misspelled. The seller can't even claim that she got the fake mixed up with another Willis since this is the only one she's sold.

I see you haven't left Feedback yet - DON'T leave any until you've gotten a full refund from the seller, and then don't be afraid to say that you received a counterfeit bag with false information in the description.

And PLEASE, from now on ask here before you bid.

You can get a hangtag from a Coach store or outlet. I prefer to do that because they have more of a selection. If you call they usually just send you a metal one. The manufacturing date is part of the creed on bags made from 1994 on. The first letter is the month and the digits after that are the year so 11 would mean 2011.

I recently called Jax to request tags for 3 bags "my MIL had given me for my birthday from her vintage collection." I requested BT, bottle green and navy...I received BT, navy and a solid brass one. Got lucky, I guess!

Could someone please authenticate this Coach bag?
From GW yesterday.
Approx. 8.5” w x 7”h x 2”d Strap drop 6.5”
2004 Hamptons Pebbled Leather Hobo (or something like that) #5053?
As always, any info is much appreciated...thanks in advance!

Your style name sounds pretty close to me.

Grrr! This ticks me off because your seller, futaridesu012 purposely lied about the serial number on the bag, indicating that she knew it was fake. WTF? Does she expect that her buyer isn't going to check the information on the bag as compared to what the listing said?

Although you can file through either PP or ebay, for SNAD, disputes are better filed through ebay as ebay is less apt to require a costly professional non-authenticity statement. Do so immediately!

Before making my suggestion (which follows), I wanted to give the seller the benefit of the doubt. In the unlikely event that misstating the serial number was an "honest" mistake, I looked through the seller's previous completed listings and feedback to see if she may have previously sold a Willis bag with the valid serial number she stated and just forgot to update her listing with the accurate serial number on this bag.

Having found that futaridesu012 has not sold ANY OTHER Coach bags, I have no doubt this wasn't an honest mistake, so as such, in this case, there's one thing on which I disagree with Hyacinth. Generally, I don't recommend arbitrary negging of sellers or doing so before receiving refunds, but this time, I'd suggest negging now.

I'm concerned that the listing will be reported and if removed, you'll be unable to leave feedback once the listing is taken down. This seller needs to be outed as the scammer she is.

Ughhhhhh. Who has time for this?!? Well, I've certainly learned my lesson. Now let the Purse Wars begin! :bagslap:

If she's smart, she'll tell you to just destroy the bag. She can't relist nor can she sell it anywhere so it's foolish for either of you to spend money to ship the bag back to her.

Let us know her response, and if necessary, refer your seller here.

Hey all! I posted the eBay links to the following bags a few days ago - I have since received the bags and taken clearer photos to help with authentication:

Item Name: convertible clutch?
Dimensions (in inches):
- length = 11
- height = 7
- depth = 3
- strap drop = 16
