Just a comment to add that it appears to be missing the brass metal hangtag.

YES I know :shucks:

You still may be able to get one from Coach if you live in the US and call their Customer Service number. They'll need the full serial number of the bag and what color the hardware is.

If they start to get fussy about your name not being in their records, just tell them you got it as a gift a few years ago, and that you think you lost the hangtag on your last business flight when you put the bag in the overhead compartment. ;)

No, it's a VERY bad fake - I hope you weren't the "lucky" bidder?

If you were, DON'T PAY.

The pattern is completely wrong. Not only isn't it centered correctly but it should never have all those "Coach"es scattered all over. The fabric in that multi-stripe is ONLY found on fakes, the lining fabric is fake and the straps are wrapped in plastic. NOTHING about that bag is right, and the wallet is a matching fake. Whoever paid good money for that got seriously ripped off.

Hopefully if a few of us report it we may save some scammed buyer some money.

Thanks Hyacinth. I'm always a bit wary when there's 'coach' stamped on the hardware.

There were several style lines from the late 1990s that had those squarish nickel buckles with Coach stamped on them - the 1998 Chelseas, the smaller "club" bags like this one, the Neos, the "Pearlized leather" styles, the Hippies, and a few others I can't think of.

Hi
I thought of that and I think I am in their records, I have asked for hangtags before
once they sent them the next time I never got any.
But do you think I can get one at a Coach store?
also do you know around when this bag was made?
Thanks Again
RC

You can get a hangtag from a Coach store or outlet. I prefer to do that because they have more of a selection. If you call they usually just send you a metal one. The manufacturing date is part of the creed on bags made from 1994 on. The first letter is the month and the digits after that are the year so 11 would mean 2011.

Is this an actual coach bag? I am strongly considering buying this.

I missed the listing you posted, but was "lucky" enough to find that the seller, bjswcmw19961970 made several previous attempts to sell the same carp.

For your viewing enjoyment, especially for those of us who missed the previous listing, here are the pictures.

The first one seems ok but I'm not an expert on newer styles. The second one looks ok.
I think both are good too.

I just bought this beauty from ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/261330318092?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 Item: Coach Manor Bag
Measurements: Height- 9" Length- 10" Depth- 4" Seller: clotheshorsegal
p.s. : I'm sorry I couldn't upload the pictures I took on my phone.
Please wait for opinions on the bag you won. I don't believe there are enough clear pictures in that listing for authenticating it.

My comment concerns the seller, clotheshorsegal. Personally, I wouldn't recommend the seller as she has history of mixing authentic and fake Coach. For a seller who sells as much Coach as clotheshorsegal does, she should learn her product.

My records show a fake NT-4903 from 2010 and she recently sold this fake with a known fake serial number, M4N-4154:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Cho...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

ETA: I found where clotheshorsegal came to this forum to have her fake authenticated after someone must have messaged her about it being fake.
Her post: http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-shopping/authenticate-this-coach-535153-189.html#post14228052
Hyacinth's response: http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-shopping/authenticate-this-coach-535153-189.html#post14228263
And my post documenting the seller's denial of having listed fakes: http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-shopping/authenticate-this-coach-535153-189.html#post14228680

It seems ok.

Thank you lots! I bought the purse and am now haunting the rehab thread on how to restore the leather a bit before use. The Coach TPF is the basis of my newest hobby, I guess.

I also read the Coach serial number guide of yours, and found it immensely helpful:

http://www.ebay.com/gds/Coach-Serial-Numbers-the-Basic-Facts-/10000000034886433/g.html

Here's a purse that I found while browsing and can spot issues with:

Item: TAN LEATHER CLASSIC COACH STATION BAG 5130 VINTAGE EXCELLENT CONDITION

Listing number: 221442572432

Seller: kdavisjoy

Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/TAN-LEATHER...130-VINTAGE-EXCELLENT-CONDITION-/221442572432

Comments: The serial number reads H4L-5130, yet it also says that it was made in the U.S. Also, the number indicates that it was made in 1994 (I think I got that right?) but the purse does not look like a 20 year old vintage item, though that could be because it's been restored.
