The problem is that some people would rather believe what some anonymous Copy-and-Paster wrote 5 or ten years ago than the evidence of their own eyes. Researching and verifying what someone claims to be facts seems to be a lost skill these days. It's mind-boggling whan I think of all the bogus "guides" that YKK nonsense has appeared in for so many years without anyone ever seeming to question it.

No wonder we end up with some of the politicians that we do.

I don't think it is the lighting, I think the shading is altered. You can increase or decrease the contrast and/;or tint. Sometimes when a color shows up flat a seller might adjust those before posting. But this one is way overboard - I am sure the color is not really as it looks in person, probably a dark burgundy, as you suggest!

It does look like someone added a purple filter to the picture, but they didn't do it to all of them. In several, it just looks brown. The seller is setting herself up for a SNAD.

Please help me figure out if this is authentic. The interior c pattern had me questioning its authenticity. Thanks for your help!!

LIKE NEW leather Coach clutch in a gorgeous magenta color. Also has a removable wristlet leather strap. Adorable coin purse style with fun silver snap clasp. Comes with Coach duster bag for safe keeping.

I received this as a gift a few years ago and used it once, it's flawless I've just grown out of the color.

I think it is probably okay. More opinions are welcome. The dustbag looks fake. Coach used signature lining like that for several years. There are several other signature linings used in fakes, but they don't look like this.

Thanks, this listing is the second one I've seen that shows a color called eggplant. The other purse turned out to be a Mahogany Whitney flap, not eggplant at all but the color really looked that way compared to other listings of the same color.

The original 10 colors of Coach didn't include an eggplant. The closest thing to purple was burgundy.

I think I've seen some very old, Bonnie Cashin bags that were eggplant. Someone on tpf has a courier pouch in eggplant, I think. It might be pre-creed.
