AUTHENTICATE this COACH!

I have yet to dunk a bag.

I know it's scary! I was really scared the first, second, third time.....but it gets easier once you see how they turn out. That being said, there is never a guarantee.
I read as much as I can on this forum and try to assess each item and how I think it will fare.
Experience is your best option, obviously if you spend a lot of money on an item you won't want to take too many chances.

Hi all - coming out from my cave.. is winter FINALLY over??

I have a Nicholas drawstring bag /9946 that I am going to post for authentication, while checking for the style name on eBay ran into this listing... ?? a Willis?? that says "MADE IN THE UNITED STATES. #L4K-9946".
Can someone verify that this is faux, and I'll report, thanks!

Double-checking the authenticity of this bag - I think it's okay, but ran into a few different styles bags in old listings with 9946 style codes, and want to make sure mine is legit

In my possession -
Style: Nicholas Drawstring?, British Tan
(drawstrings are missing end tabs)
Size: approx 13" h x 11" w x 3"
Creed details: "Made in the United States" #E4D-9946

apparently, L4K-9946 is a number that is popular with counterfeiters. I believe we discussed this bag already a few days ago, here: http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-shopping/authenticate-this-coach-855067-215.html#post26677485
I believe I can see that the third digit of the style number is a 4 rather than a 2, and there looks to be grooves in the back of the turnlock, both of which would indicate it is fake.

The leather looks dried out or damaged, the texture just seem odd. It's really hard to see the creed, but the details of it actually look ok. I think the bag is probably genuine but I'd worry about the leather. I'd ask about that, and ask for better creed pictures.
