It looks ok to me. The exact name of that bag style isn't in my records but it's a genuine Bleecker Signature Denim Stitched... something-or-other. Pocket Flap? Field Bag? Crossbody? Swingpack? Maybe someone else might know.

Yay!thanks for the quick response :) that gives me a relief, coz i paid $70 for this one and exchange policy is just limited for 7days. I might get hold of this one then, i so love the inside lining!again, thanks Hyacinth :)

Please wait for opinions on the specific bag you bought.

My comment concerns the seller, ljuls165.

The seller has a history of listing/mixing fakes. I reported fakes from this seller several times.
Feb. 2013: fake Coach wristlet
May 2013: 5 fake Coach bags
Dec. 2013: 2 more fake Coach bags

Had you asked before purchasing, I would have recommended against ljuls165.
Thank you BB!
When you buy a lot on ebay and you see a buy it now that is a good price
you need to act fast so unless I already had that seller on my "list" I can't take the time
to background check.
But now this seller is on my "list" and that's not a good thing..lol.

I understand. I keep some extensive records on sellers and some seller IDs stick in my brain.

Thank you Hyacinth! Is there a specific color that might show in your color samples
for this time period? It is like a seafoam or mint green - not lime.
I think the color could be aqua. I have a few bags in aqua that were all made in the last few months of 1996, but mine are all classic unlined bags. Coach called the color aqua even though it looks more like mint to me. Mine were all made at the D plant, not C, so it might not be related.

While I have a LOT of issues with the seller (who has used at least half a dozen different IDs to avoid multiple Negatives AND claimed to be a victim of Hurricane Katrina when he had actually moved from LA to Arkansas MONTHS before the hurricane), the CD is something I'd be lost without. It's not perfect - the individual scans are huge and usually over 1MB each so it helps to have a basic photo management program like Irfanview. One of the catalogs is dated wrong ("1997 Legacy" is actually Fall 1993), and many of them don't show most of the Accessories pages so it can be frustrating trying to find things like wallets and smaller items.

The CD won't "make you an expert" but it will make it a lot easier to identify older items. One VERY important thing to remember and it's up to the individual buyer to decide, but selling Coach's photos and graphics is a violation of Coach's copyrights. The seller has had those listings removed before, so decide if you're ok with it. Just be absolutely sure that whoever buys it does NOT use the photos for selling purposes.
This is very interesting to know Hyacinth. I am a new member of the forum, but love all of the information found here. I am impressed by your expertise and appreciate it.

When you have a moment, could you please authenticate and identify this bag:

Item:AUTHENTIC VINTAGE COACH ITALY BLACK GENUINE LEATHER X-BODY SHOULDER BAG HANDBAG
Item#:310946528816
Seller: marie-store
URL:http://www.ebay.com/itm/AUTHENTIC-V...816?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item4865db7e30

Thank you.:smile1:

Genuine Sheridan Richmond Bag, style 4209 probably from 1992 or 1993. The hangtag isn't the one that came with the bag and it looks like the strap has been modified or cut down, the seller has one end tucked under the buckle which she shouldn't be able to do if it was undamaged, and it looks like there's at least one buckle hole that's been punched about 6 or 8 inches from where the strap is attached to the bag - look at the right on the picture where she shows it open from above.

I'd want a lot of photos of every inch of that strap AND actual measurements before buying.

The Aqua was in the Spring catalog but the pictures I have make it look a lot lighter than the bag in the pictures. If the color actually is a light aqua or seafoam, that's the same color my catalogs show.

Wow, you have eagle eyes. I missed the hole in the strap. Thank you, Hyacinth!

You always have to check the whole strap on older purses. When the fashions changed and women started wearing their purses much higher up, a lot of older bags ended up with chopped-up straps.
