I took a gamble and bought this set of rehab purses without knowing much about them. I do not have additional info on them because when I contacted the seller she had them packed up or something and was not able to give additional pics, dimensions, serial numbers etc.

I bought the lot specifically for the blue wave purse on the right which I am pretty sure is real (or I hope lol). I am wondering about the purse on the left, I know that it can't be authenticated until I have more info and the purse in my hand but has anyone seen a purse like this or does it scream fake? I only own a few MFF bags so it may be one but the way it looks makes me curious and doubtful. Please let the wave bag at least be real:p

The one on the left screams fake.

It does to me too, the seller usually does not mark fakes as real but under "purse" but it just screams it to me. Guess when I get it I will be using it to hold my rehab supplies.

It was illegal for her to sell it, and against ebay rules. She's lucky ebay didn't remove the listing. You might want to ask her to only send the other one and give you a discount since you are only getting one bag.

I was thinking maybe she did not know it is fake. I am worried that she might back out and I lose the wave bag over it. I have been trying forever to get that bag at a decent price so I am torn on what to do. I already paid, I figured it might be fake but I personally do not know about possible MFF bags so I didn't want to say it was until I have a look at it. :nogood:

It doesn't matter whether she knew it was fake or not. The law and ebay policy require that sellers KNOW items are authentic before listing them and clearly, she didn't buy the bag on the left from Coach so unless she's expert, she should have had it checked.

As for the wave bag, those have been faked too so it might be worth your while have the seller send you a picture of the creed before shipping. I'm not feeling the love for that strap on the wave bag.

(Since the listing just ended, she needs to UNPACK them and take some pictures. In my experience, sellers who only show minimal pictures and claim inability to take additional pictures because items are packaged know exactly what they're selling.)

ETA: The Seller psaldivar2013 also sold this lot (TWICE!), described as having one Coach bag in the 10-piece lot. I don't see anything that resembles an authentic Coach bag.

This bag is for sale on Facebook. I'm 99.9% sure it's fake but wanted to confirm. Thanks!

yes, it's fake.

ETA: If you need a reason, there is that mismatching at the seam, the fake siggy lining, a date code that indicates production in 1996, way too early for a siggy style, and a style number that doesn't match the bag.

Oh, and the misspelled and run-on words too.

Thanks hun!!
And don't forget that tacky gold cheap rayon lining that's only on fakes.

Ugh! Never mind. Whateve mentioned the lovely (not!) lining.

Thank you. Have you ever figured out what the lead time would be between the release of a style/color and the production date? Do you think it is on the order of two or three months, or much longer?

Don't ever try to pin any Coach release whether bags or bag details down to a specific time period.

Coach probably had the equivalent of Pilot bags in the 1990s but they weren't stamped in any way so there's no way of pinning them down. They also had a Resort line available in resort locations outside the US in the early 2000s and may have released styles in that collection maybe two seasons before they were in the US stores.

And remember how long it took them to get the new 1994 version creeds into use by all the plants, a few like G and H apparently had to wait until early 1996 and maybe later.

I've even seen evidence that a few styles may have been released and then pulled from production right away, sometimes for several years. Maybe because of problems, maybe because they had too many similar styles on the market at the same time? Who knows? The date isn't as dependendable as an indicator of real or fake as we sometimes think, and there just aren't any "rules". Every questionable date should be looked at on an individual basis.

Don't depend on carved-in-stone dates. Remember Rule #1 - The most consistent thing about Coach is their inconsistency.

Hi! I would love if someone could authenticate this bag for me. It arrived today and to my fingers, it feels like faux leather and the turn locks do not turn, they are just on the outside of the pocket for decoration. I can take more photos if needed. Thanks so much in advance.

Here is my photo of the creed to go with the auction photos to hopefully identify this as real or fake:
