I found this bag today at an antique mall. I know it isn't an antique, but I want to know whether I got a fantastic deal or if I threw money away, LOL!

It is about 7.5 inches wide and 9 inches tall. There is no number on the creed....does that mean it is a fake?

It's an authentic signature swingpack and definitely not close to being antique nor vintage. (It's from approximately 2008-10ish.)

Some smaller items such as swingpacks, pouches, wristlets, etc. may or may not have creeds. Those with creeds may or may not have serial numbers. Whether a bag has a creed with or without a serial number means nothing with regard to authenticity.

I've looked at several on ebay and I can't find one from the same factory as yours or with the same wording. Yours has a month code earlier than any of the others I can find. The leather for the creed patch isn't the same as the bag, because the bag leather is textured. My creed patch has a bit of a pearlescent sheen as well. I can't tell from your picture, but the hardware should be a pewter color, like silver that has black added to it. The leather on yours looks very faded, but that could just be the photo. I don't see any other problems.

Can you post a link to the listing where you bought it? I have some creeds where the words are jammed together like that. If the hardware were a different color than the original, I think it would have a different style number. The faded leather bothers me too. Was it described as heavily used? Does the style number look like 18622 to you? The third digit almost looks like an 8 to me.

I'd like to get Beenburned's opinion.

ETA: Please check these details:
1. The plaque on the front should be on a regular leather piece, which is slightly lighter than the croc color, with a thin patent frame.
2. On the side fronts where the buckles are, the decorative straps with the buckles should be patent leather. There should be a regular leather strip under this, with a thin patent frame around the whole thing. The patent should be slightly darker than the smooth leather parts. On the sides in the same area, there should be a vertical patent strip with a loop at the top with the ring for the removable strap. There should be a patent loop attached to this vertical strap that the decorative buckle strap goes through.
3. The color of the Coach plaque should be close in color to the bag.
4. The zipper fabric color should be green and the metal parts of the zipper are the same color as the rest of the bag's hardware.

I can't read the text on your creed picture but it appears to be the same as these two listings:

I can't find another bag from the "93" plant either. Every other Lindsey I found was from "49."

I wish there was another bag from the same factory but from what I see, I don't see anything that indicates that the bag is fake.

Actually the text is different. The Lindseys on ebay and my Sophia have the same wording. Coachie_mama's bag says "the finest full grain cowhide" rather than "finest materials and leather." I'm most concerned about the hardware color. Also if it is supposed to be a new bag, the leather color is really faded looking.

Other than the size, the styling on the Sophia and Lindsey are the same which is why I was comparing it to my Sophia. I can see more detail on a bag in hand than in photos.

What do you think about the dot on the label? Would they make that mistake at the factory or do they ever put that on later when it goes to the outlet? Since this bag was made earlier than those others, it wasn't made for the outlet originally.

OMG, you're right about the text! I couldn't read hers and was looking at the formatting and thought it looked the same.

I'm also now seeing the run-on words on coachie mama's creed.

Now that I'm looking more carefully (something I should have done earlier), I am a bit nervous that this might be one of the Philippine-type fakes.

Although I've never seen the white dot faked, I can't imagine that it's something that's difficult to replicate.

coachie mama, would you please post a link to the listing? I think there are enough questions about the bag that I'd return it. It might not be fake but I wouldn't want it if I had doubts.
