The creed on this looks really wonky to me... the font is really off and what is up with the 1941 at the end? And it's missing the style/production number too. Hmm... I would have to say I don't think its genuine, but I would wait for other opinions, especially Hyacinth!!

Horrible fake, please report. Full-size bags will always have serial numbers unless they were made before about 1980

Comments: This was a last moment bid, and I'm pretty sure it is an original Rambler. I know the creed picture is blurry.
Hoping for my first NYC bag.

Hyacinth - just filed a report - my first ever!! Glad I turned out be right - it just looked really really BAD to me, but being of the male persuasion I always want a second opinion!

It's always best to ask. That "1941" creed ending is only found in fakes. And though some smaller bags like Swingpacks, Pouches and recent Crossbodys may OR may not have creeds or serial numbers, full-size handbags, briefcases and travel bags newer than 30 years old should always have both. The only recent exceptions I can remember were one or two of the clear plastic beach tote-style bags that may not have had any creed patches on the inside.

I just want to point out that the second seller, shelbyslittleshop is the same seller who had that horrible lime-rickey-green Abbie bag that was reported and removed last week.

She has relisted it:

Aww, I hate to hear that, because I was really leaning toward the second one :( Thought I'm glad you pointed it out (the green bag is...certainly not my taste, haha!).

I guess I'll just take it as a sign to keep searching...:rain:

Unless you are the seller, in which case you should ask before you list.

The bag in the listing looks authentic. The seller has a couple of negatives. It looks like a Juicy Couture shirt listing was removed.

Oh, sorry, no, I am not the seller. I just didn't know. I only sell clothes. I only have two Coach bags, and will never sell them. haha (I'm the high bidder)

Hyacinth - you're a gem! Thanks for the 1941 tidbit - another little fact for my memory bank!

Comments : it was a last minute bidding. Just want to be sure it is authentic.
I spot no OBVIOUS red flags; a clear photo of the creed would have been very helpful. As always, wait for other opinions as I have far from the expertise as many other members (like Hyacinth) have.
