Thanks Hyacinth! Have you ever seen one of these??

The dustbag is a well-known fake. And the graphic has nothing to do with Coach because it's not a coach at all, and was never used by the company. When something is referred to as a coach it usually has 2 bench seats facing each other with a door and open space in the center, like the Coach logo or a stagecoach in a Western movie. I'm not sure what style vehicle is shown in that graphic but I wouldn't call it a coach. A Post Chaise maybe?

Posting a followup on this, because everyone here at tPF needs to be warned about this blatant Coach fake seller BOTTICELLI4GRACE (links to the listing in a thread from June 10 at the Safe Harbor Forum, Ebay's Trust & Safety board, were removed by the forum witch-hunters because it included a link to the original listing which was for a lot of about 30 bags from different makers). The original listing was removed by Ebay but I saved the listing and the photos before it disappeared.

Here's the latest post from the screwed-over buyer, posted at Ebay's Shoes & Purses Board today - this situation bears repeating;

"I paid thru Paypal (via checking acct). I spoke with Paypal already ... they're an eBay company lol. Good advice .. I will check again. The money is not my "primary" concern at this point.

The seller is savvvvvvvy. She refunded me in full via Paypal with the condition that I return ALL the bags (which I cannot do -- many are sold -- she knows this). Within hours of the $$$ clearing Paypal, she went to the police station and filed a report that I had stolen goods. This woman is a LOW LIFE and a BULLY !!! Unfortunately, it forced me to give the $$$ back asap (it's a work-related security issue). Something tells me she's done this before

There is absolutely ZERO chance that I am going to take this sitting down. My "broom" is in full throttle and ready to go (lol)."

Experienced members at that forum have looked at almost all of the "Coaches" that BOTTICELLI4GRACE stuck that buyer with, and all were fake except two.

Here'e the post at Safe Harbor:
http://forums.ebay.com/db2/topic/Trust-Safety-Safe/Lot-With-Counterfeit/5100160913?#msg5102161113

Here's the post on one of the two genuine bags from that lot:
http://forums.ebay.com/db2/topic/Shoes-Purses-And/Coach-Made-In/5100160787?#msg5102159217

and here are the posts on the fakes:

http://forums.ebay.com/db2/topic/Shoes-Purses-And/Coach-D6j-6086/5100160774?#msg5102159183

And there's a photo of the listing below. I'm almost sure at least one other fake was posted at the Ebay board but the post may have "disappeared". In addition to the posts listed above and based on memory:

The white-ish/pale pink Sig Soho Duffle with the buckles has a badly misaligned C pattern

The red-on-red Signature Demi 2 bags under it also has misaligned Cs

The gray and black Mini Sig underneath that one had misaligned Cs and I think also a fake serial number

The pink hobo with the white trim and hot pink strap was the other genuine one I remember.

I'm almost positive all of these were asked about at the S&P forum, but as I said, some posts may have "disappeared".

I'm going to do what I don't often do and state my own personal decision to never authenticate ANY item listed by BOTTICELLI4GRACE - unless of course it's fake, since I don't want to give anything even slightly resembling any kind of recommendation for this seller. I don't often use words like "despicable" but I'm strongly tempted.

Four more confirmed fakes in the lot from NOT RECOMMENDED seller BOTTICELLI4GRACE:

"I've read some "forums on purses" and it gave me a good feeling inside knowing that "I'm not crazy" LOLOLOL

I am attaching a copy of 7 Coaches (counterfeits) from the "LOT". Purses 1, 2 & 3 (across the top) have already been shown here and are confirmed fakes ... thank you !

Purse #4 (large black leather) only has "Coach" stamped on the front ... no other markings, stamps or indicators anywhere else (not even a "Made in ..." label). The zippers are not the same and some have cursive initials on them. I spoke with Coach directly about this bag and they telephonically confirmed that ALL LARGE BAGS HAVE A CREED.

Purse #5 (navy small signature): Serial #L4C-9956 (bad #). This is the first bag I listed and eBay removed. This is when I realized there might be a problem. This serial # is on the "hit" list.

Purse #6 (vintage black leather shoulder): Serial #202-07: First of all, this # does not exist. Second of all, no Coach bags were made in Korea.

Purse #7 (smaller black shoulder bag): Serial #PIT-9138. Coach says this # does not exist. Buying Guidelines say there's nothing that starts with a "P". Terrible stitching, feels cheap, bad fake.

There may be one other, but unable to provide details at this time..."

May the seller get everything she deserves, and more. It's time for Kharma to take a hand in this. My opinion only, of course, YMMV.

Love the link (big Jane Austen fan here)! You should read the description on this thing, it's laughable. Should I post a link?

Thanks, Hyacinth.

Yes, front and back look the same which is why I only posted one side.
Measurements are about 6 3/4" tall, 8 1/2 wide at the very top and 3 3/4 deep at the very bottom.

Thanks!

The only thing I can find like it is a MacDougal Zip, style 4130 from 1993 although the measurements dont exactly match. But Coach's measurements are often just a bit wonky. It looks genuine though.

I've been looking for a brown Patricia's, is this one authentic?

Style: Brown Patricia's Legacy
Seller: thecoachexpress
http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=350812378866
Comments: Silver grommets on strap concern me, since I have run into a lot of fake Pats with these.

Thanks in advance!

Definitely FAKE. Not only does it have one of the questionable J**- prefixes but the inside pocket zipper assembly is wrong and that zipper is too short. Please report.

As the seller states, the strap could have been replaced. You can't prove an item is fake based on a removable strap. Personally I wouldn't feel comfortable bidding on it. Here is a picture of a creed of the same style, same month, and same plant. It doesn't match the creed in this listing.

Here's what I mean by an incorrect inside zipper. The fake one in the first pic has small pieces of leather at the ends of the zipper to make it fit the size of the pocket. This is ONLY found on fakes. The second one, the real one, has a zipper that goes all the way to the edges of the pocket.

Yes, I noticed that after you pointed it out. I forgot to check that. Funny thing, it seems like it would be more difficult to construct it with the end pieces. Maybe the counterfeiters used standard zipper lengths and they weren't long enough, instead of buying a large zipper and cutting it to fit.
