And I'd like to add there are several even more disturbing issues about the fakes sold in a large lot by botticelli4grace -

Anyone who's experienced with selling Coaches should have spotted the red flags on the fakes IMMEDIATELY. All four of the "Coaches" with Signature C fabric show that the C pattern isn't correctly centered, and on one of them the pattern itself is lopsided, with one side being higher than the other. One Coach actually proved to be genuine but at least 4 and possibly 5 were fakes that could have been spotted easily by any seller who claimed to be a Coach expert.

The buyer who got stuck with the fake bags said that the seller botticelli4grace tried to claim that as long as one of the Coaches was genuine, the listing was legal. In the buyer's own words:
"What bothers me is that she says she only has to sell me one authentic Coach in the lot (which she did) .. the rest fall under "other bags." That's quite a play on words and in my opinion, deceiving the public. I just can't believe this is acceptable..."

So the seller basically admits that almost all the "Coaches" were fakes AND that she knew it, and that it's ok to sell half a dozen counterfeit Coaches as long as at least one is genuine.

I think the US giovernment might dispute that point. But meanwhile we have a seller who knowingly sells fakes, knowingly misleads buyers, and refuses to make things right.

I'm going to recommend based on my own opinions and what I've read AND seen that buyers AVOID BUYING from botticelli4grace under ANY circumstances. Anyone who deliberately and knowingly tries to dump illegal counterfeits on a buyer doesn't deserve ANYONE'S business.

Posting a followup on this, because everyone here at tPF needs to be warned about this blatant Coach fake seller BOTTICELLI4GRACE (links to the listing in a thread from June 10 at the Safe Harbor Forum, Ebay's Trust & Safety board, were removed by the forum witch-hunters because it included a link to the original listing which was for a lot of about 30 bags from different makers). The original listing was removed by Ebay but I saved the listing and the photos before it disappeared.

Here's the latest post from the screwed-over buyer, posted at Ebay's Shoes & Purses Board today - this situation bears repeating;

"I paid thru Paypal (via checking acct). I spoke with Paypal already ... they're an eBay company lol. Good advice .. I will check again. The money is not my "primary" concern at this point.

The seller is savvvvvvvy. She refunded me in full via Paypal with the condition that I return ALL the bags (which I cannot do -- many are sold -- she knows this). Within hours of the $$$ clearing Paypal, she went to the police station and filed a report that I had stolen goods. This woman is a LOW LIFE and a BULLY !!! Unfortunately, it forced me to give the $$$ back asap (it's a work-related security issue). Something tells me she's done this before

There is absolutely ZERO chance that I am going to take this sitting down. My "broom" is in full throttle and ready to go (lol)."

Experienced members at that forum have looked at almost all of the "Coaches" that BOTTICELLI4GRACE stuck that buyer with, and all were fake except two.

Here'e the post at Safe Harbor:
http://forums.ebay.com/db2/topic/Trust-Safety-Safe/Lot-With-Counterfeit/5100160913?#msg5102161113

Here's the post on one of the two genuine bags from that lot:
http://forums.ebay.com/db2/topic/Shoes-Purses-And/Coach-Made-In/5100160787?#msg5102159217

and here are the posts on the fakes:

http://forums.ebay.com/db2/topic/Shoes-Purses-And/Coach-D6j-6086/5100160774?#msg5102159183

And there's a photo of the listing below. I'm almost sure at least one other fake was posted at the Ebay board but the post may have "disappeared". In addition to the posts listed above and based on memory:

The white-ish/pale pink Sig Soho Duffle with the buckles has a badly misaligned C pattern

The red-on-red Signature Demi 2 bags under it also has misaligned Cs

The gray and black Mini Sig underneath that one had misaligned Cs and I think also a fake serial number

The pink hobo with the white trim and hot pink strap was the other genuine one I remember.

I'm almost positive all of these were asked about at the S&P forum, but as I said, some posts may have "disappeared".

I'm going to do what I don't often do and state my own personal decision to never authenticate ANY item listed by BOTTICELLI4GRACE - unless of course it's fake, since I don't want to give anything even slightly resembling any kind of recommendation for this seller. I don't often use words like "despicable" but I'm strongly tempted.

Hi there Coach experts!

I've been an avid follower of this forum, it is really cool to see what Coach bags people find at thrifts & such for such reasonable prices!

I was out hitting some garage sales today and uncovered some real interesting buys.

Normally I only find big, signature purses w/creeds and style #s which I can authenticate easily. Today I found a couple that I need some help on.

#1) Is a small Coach bag, I'm pretty sure this is real because the quality is good, and the fact that the Made in China label is heavier fabric, but I would appreciate a couple opinions. Also would like to now name/style number if at all possible. Picked this up for $3 ;)

#2) Is the Coach find of my lifetime (to date!! - I'm not that old!). I was at a garage sale looking a table full of junky faux leather purses when I saw the Cashin Kisslock. I about had heart failure, then reminded myself that it was probably not a Coach. WRONG!! Still had the Coach hang tag. Best part - the price! Only $1!!! Got it home and applied some leather lube, I think it looks pretty good. Now, I'm pretty sure it's authentic, but I am still shaky on authenticating vintage Coach... I just got slipped up by a small leather bag with the nefarious NT-4903 serial.. drat! So, I just want to make sure that you other Coachers are behind my verdict towards the authenticity of the bag. Sorry for the icky pictures, they looked much better on camera.

Hopefully the link below works (has images of both bags), if not let me know and I will adjust.

Thanks for all your help!

Hi Ladies, could you please help me authenticate this one? Not even the seller is sure... :(

Item: Brown Coach Handbag
Listing number: 171055015581
Seller: jayrock2288
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/171055015581?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

Thank you!
It looks authentic but the listing could still be removed. It is against ebay rules to say you don't know if it is authentic or not. You aren't supposed to list an item unless you know it is authentic.

This is the correct link:

The first one is a top handle pouch made for factory. I can't remember the exact style number/name. The second one is style #9546 Skinny Tote from around 1980. Great find! Is there any stitching on the zipper pull?

It's probably okay but the authenticity disclaimer isn't okay.

Sellers have to KNOW items are authentic or they can't be listed. Stating that you don't know whether an item is legal or not is a reportable violation.
