Comments: Can anyone pls let me know if this purse is authentic. If it was produced/manufactured in 2002, I thought that up until 2004 the year part of the creed was only one number but then changed in 2004 to 04 (or whatever the year, a zero was added to the year). So if that were true, we would be able to tell this purse is not authentic by this Listing title alone? Or do I have that all wrong?? Thx guys so much. This auction ends in 6 hours and I was going to report the listing but I never report anything unless I know for sure it is not authentic. So thank you all :)))

The bag in the listing appears to be okay but to confirm, a better picture of the creed is needed.

The bag was made in 2000 (indicated by the zero) and "2" was the plant/factory code.

(A bag made in the same month and same plant in 2002 would have M22 as the prefix.)

AH ha, my bag been burned. Thank you so MUCH for clearing that up. Wow that one can be a tricky one. Thx for getting right back!! As always you guys are the "BEST of the BEST!!"

Although I can't see much nor read the creed, the stitching is crooked and the sealant around the edges of the creed doesn't look right. I don't think the bag is authentic and I wouldn't recommend buying from probird2010

Thank you! I appreciate the input, I was also wondering about the stitching as well...but what really threw me off was how the leather looks too shiny and soft and the color.. for some reason I don't think I've seen this shade of pink in any Coach Penny. I've searched and it's nothing close to this..

Ok, Here I am again posting because I am now paranoid that the Coach Penny perforated watermelon I bought a few months ago might be a fake. I need the help of the awesome experts on this site. I bought it on ebay Philippines from a trusted seller who has no negative feedbacks.. she has over 2,500 positives so I trusted the authenticity in the bag and it cost me the normal price. She even sent me pics so I could see the color and how it looked like before I bought it. When I got the bag, everything was fine.. the leather was good.. stitching was straight and the creed was there although I don't remember if it said it was made in China.. I will have to check on that when I get home. The bag also came with a care card but it didn't have the store tag on it. I have the pics she sent me before I bought it, it's not much but if anyone can judge by just looking at it, I would be grateful. Oh the first pic is not so clear though.



I have a question though about the inside of the bag... the top part, I noticed some Coach bags have an overlap of leather, but it seems to be only a small part, but my bag is a bit wider.. I have pics as examples. I wanted to know.. Is that a sign that it's fake or is it normal to have that? Also if I find out my bag is made in China is it a fake? HELP!!:crybaby:

FYI: THE LAST 2 PICS ARE NOT MY BAG, I JUST USED THEM AS EXAMPLES.

I just looked at the larger photos you posted, and although I can't read the creed patch, what I can see of it makes me even more sure that buying from that seller is not a good idea. The patch looks like it's badly made and badly sewn, the black around the edges looks much too thick, and the thread seems to be different colors and the stitching different sizes. The longer I look at it, the more fake it looks.

Unless I'm actually familiar with the style, I'd rather leave the newer styles to the posters who are more familiar with them, if that's ok.
