Hi, ladies! Can someone take a look at this one. I don't think it is from the 70's based on the serial number. I have never seen this style before. It looks like it is in great condition. TIA

AAARRRGGHH!!!

Another seller who's completely CLUELESS about how to figure out the production period of a Coach! They should just shut up about years and decades and ESPECIALLY Bonnie Cashin and just list the facts and leave their silly guesses out of the listings!

First of all Cashin never used that type of slip-lock called a Touchlock, since Coach didn't start using it until around 1991, and AFAIK except for the Morgan Briefcase that kind of lock had been phased out by the end of 1993.. That knocks the Cashin comment right out of the window. Also a Cashin bag would probably NOT have any creed stamp and definitely not a serial number. And when a creed is stamped "Made in the United States" at the bottom, it was made AFTER 1987.

The tote is a Branson Bag, style 9915, which was introduced in 1992 and probably only made for a year or so. Coach's catalog page from the 1992 Fall Special Edition catalog is posted below. Seller jude309 really needs to do more research or just stick to the basic PROVEABLE facts in her listings.

She has also listed fakes before:

It looks fine. It appears to be part of the Camden collection from around 1992-1993. I've never seen this exact style before either. It looks really nice.

Please check my post above for more information - and the semi-obligatory rant:

Hello - would appreciate it if someone could take a look at this guy (in my possession) and let me know if he's okay:

Beekman Briefcase 5266
In my possession

Thanks as always - another snowstorm coming, good time to sort thru my collection and thin the horde.. err herd ::D

It seems ok.

Also battening down for another round. Fridge is full, car's in the garage, and I may not even set foot outside until next week. I LOVE "cocooning".

"Let it snow, let snow, let it snow...!"

Thank you! Had to make sure there wasn't any of that 'cheap brass' ;-)

I have to do a trip to the P.O. in the am. Not looking forward to it. I love driving in the snow - but man there are some bad-d-d-d-d snow drivers out there, spinning around while texting, they scare the $#!+ out of me. Add in "weekend drivers" .. yikes! If I live thru my P.O. adventure, I am not coming out of my cave til spring.

Thanks, Hyacinth, I hope that spike in your blood pressure has dropped! I like the style of this purse but will wait for another one. I agree about her not doing her homework. I have learned tons of stuff from this forum in less than a year. And just general researching because of my desire to learn. I don't understand how someone can do business selling mostly Coach products and is so ignorant about some of the most basic facts. Teflon brain?

Help! I found this at a thrift store and I'm not sure if it's real or not. I've searched and searched the internet and can't find one that looks like this one.
