The Prairie Bag seems ok.

I'm worried about the Beaumont. I don't have any photos saved of proven genuine versions, but the Holiday Preview 1998 catalog shows it as "New" so how did it get a September 1994 year and month code? There's always a remote possibility that it's a very early production version that was postponed until 4 years later, that double seam stitching down the front is also a style feature of the Lexingtons and Tribecas from 1998. It wouldn't be the first time Coach introduced and then put a style on hold for a few years.

If anyone here has a known genuine Beaumont, I hope they'll compare the two.
Hyacinth, when did that equestrian styled hardware get introduced?

Hyacinth, when did that equestrian styled hardware get introduced?

I haven't got the slightest idea! :D

I'll put that on my "research" list one of these days, along with posting a new Fakes List and doing something "riveting" with Benedict Cumberbatch.

(Seriously, I'll try to remember to keep notes when I spot older hardware. But it may take a while. Would you consider the D-rings on the Willises and other dowel styles as "equestrian"? They're sort of bit-shaped. So let's start off with early 1990s and work back from there.)

I'm planning a "riveting" Sherlock marathon next weekend! Time to rewatch and prep for next season!

Yep, I was just going to say that. The hardware on my equestrian bag is identical to the Willis rings.

Cool! We always have to wait for the Brit goodies but at least it gives us something to watch during those cold January nights!

Can someone please lend me your expertise regarding my Phoebe. I posted pics a few post back but haven't heard anything. I recently purchased it from eBay and I just want to be certain it authentic. Thank you in advance.

Please someone authenticate this Phoebe.

Interesting. That might explain why I am so thrilled with the few that I have already acquired. I think one is from the 90's which explains its awesome feel. I think I will try to find another bag from that time period!
The style is important too. Some of the more structured styles have stiffer leather. Of the bags I have from that period, my Plaza court, equestrian shopper and Chadwick are stiffer. The bags that have the softest leather are my Lightweights soft satchels, Rambler's Legacys, ergos, abbie zip, city bag, pocket purse and Soho belted pouch. Of course, I think it also depends on how the bag was treated. Some of my rehabbed bags have never softened up as much as I hoped.

Comment: creed is impossible to read is serial no K6H 9???. I've never seen an inside flap with this vertical stitching

It's a 9966 Legacy Zip. You can find a lot of them on Ebay but I don't recommend buying unless the creed stamp and details are clearly shown in the photos. The style has been faked a lot and even genuine ones can be hard to authenticate.
