I haven't got the slightest idea! :D

I'll put that on my "research" list one of these days, along with posting a new Fakes List and doing something "riveting" with Benedict Cumberbatch.

(Seriously, I'll try to remember to keep notes when I spot older hardware. But it may take a while. Would you consider the D-rings on the Willises and other dowel styles as "equestrian"? They're sort of bit-shaped. So let's start off with early 1990s and work back from there.)
Yup, my Logan has the D rings as well.

Yup, my Logan has the D rings as well.

So far, the first dowel style I can find with the equestrian-style D-rings is the Beekman Briefcase 5266, probably introduced in 1991. The Barclay Tote from the same year had dowels but not D-rings, so it looks like the Beekman was the grand-daddy of the Dowels and of the Equestrian-style hardware too.

The one exception might be belts since that "bit" design has been used by Coach and other brands for a long time.

What do you ladies think of this one? Does anyone know the style name. It is genuine?

I'm not sure if those pictures show enough.. Maybe the ladies can tell on body type alone

We already identified that style at the ID This Coach thread yesterday:

It's a Dixon Mini. Probably genuine but it still would be good to see the creed. And I think the seller may be optimistic about the measurements, Coach says it's 8x7 inches, NOT 10 inches in length

My jaw dropped when I opened that page and saw the bag! Too funny!

I am the owner of the Dixon Mini in the other thread. If you tried putting something 10" in there it's going to lose its shape, IF it even fits. :)

ETA: I should have quoted fuzzymummy, sorry about that!

FYI, Katie Couric is trying to educate consumers about the evils of buying counterfeit bags and other fake products, see the links below:

I wish it were that easy "How to detect a fake".
The most important thing to tell people is to KNOW the bag they are looking for
or the Brand they are looking for and to see, handle and or study the real item before buying one.
Then come here for affirmation!!:tup::tup:

I totally agree but hopefully this type of exposure will make people think twice before buying a bargain that is "too good to be true!"

I also hope that people aren't naive enough to think that sellers won't raise the price to prevent the "too good to be true" perception.

Coach experimented with many different shapes and designs in the early 1990s. They did some cute mini bags too and the Megan Bag was one of them, from Spring 1993 and in all kinds of colors. 1993 was a very "colorful" year for Coach. :smile1:
It is cute. I much prefer the coloured ones to the black though, but this is the first time I've seen a Megan listed. Thanks Hyacinth.
It's a 9966 Legacy Zip. You can find a lot of them on Ebay but I don't recommend buying unless the creed stamp and details are clearly shown in the photos. The style has been faked a lot and even genuine ones can be hard to authenticate.
Thanks Hyacinth. I'll wait for a better red one.

I just love the English language and I am amused and sometimes appalled by what I see on ebay - but I'd like to know what kind of fruit I can find on this "tree"?
Thought you all could use a little chuckle to break up the day.

LOL! It took me a minute to figure out the seller meant toiletry. Do you think that was done with auto-correct? Other I enjoy are patient leather, swayed, and limited addition.
