Thanks, whateve, I knew there was a reason why I was hesitant to buy. They are beautiful bags, though.
They are beautiful bags and the leather is so soft! The soft satchel is my favorite style. I have two. My blue one faded a bunch but I didn't want to dye it because I didn't want to do anything that might stiffen the leather. The zippers in these aren't as reliable as zippers in other Coach styles.

It looks like an authentic Patricia's Legacy.
Thank you! I was comparing it to a bag that I already had with the same style number. The leathers felt a little different and the zipper was finished differently. Maybe they're just a little different because the bag i had already is 3 years older?
Thank you for your opinion that the bag is authentic! And thank you for your time!

You're welcome. If you are concerned, post pictures of both bags showing the differences. I'm curious about the zipper. How the zipper fits into the bag and the stitching on the zipper pull are key things we look at when we authenticate. The leather definitely can feel differently due to the age.

Could someone please authenticate this Coach (?) keyring...
or have I made a donation?
Bought at Goodwill last weekend...can't find a comparison anywhere!
Approx. 4.25” long, ring 1.25”
Fingers crossed...thanks in advance for any info, as always!

The zippers look different on the end of the zipper where the pull ends up when the zipper is closed (top stops.) I tried to include a close up of that area and of the zipper pulls.

To me, the leather felt overall finer on the black purse. I wasn't sure if these were just differences due to their age difference, or if they indicated a difference in quality, and therefore a non-genuine bag.

I'm a little concerned for a couple of reasons. Although the keychain (at first glance) appeared to be okay, the color/charm placement is different from the Coach stock picture of style 1744. Also, the backs of the charms don't look quite right.

There are a lot of fakes of that style and some similar other handbag multi charm fobs. Some of the fakes are obvious but I think yours is one of the scarier ones.

I don't believe your keychain is authentic, but please wait for other opinions.

...and for what it's worth, the back sides of some of your grommets look odd...are they smooth or split?

Thanks for the info and photo. My photo was shot in my office...not outdoors, cause it's tooooo cold...so colors are off. The color comparison to your stock photo IRL is dead on. The placement is different, though as you mentioned. Fingers still crossed.

EDITED TO ADD: Wow...I just did some googling and found this:

Yup, the colors, shape of charms, links on chain, etc. look "good." That's why I think it's scary!!

I don't have a picture of the authentic version so I'm not sure whether Coach might have changed the placement of the charms in production (something they have done in the past) which is why I'm not completely comfortable deeming it either authentic or fake (at this point).

I hadn't seen the edit. Great find!

That does make a huge difference but I'd still like to hear what Hyacinth thinks.
