Hi ladies,

Silly me, bought the coach bag first and then here for the piece of mind. PLease help!

Item: No. A72 9755 British Tan Pocket Purse Shoulder Bag
Listing number: 171176319181
Seller: cjpfr
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/171176319181?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
Comments: Kinda blurry on the creed, also numbers not lined up well. Otherwise very good condition.

Thanks much and happy Thanksgiving!

The creed is pretty messed up but I think it is authentic. They just made a mistake at the factory.

It's genuine

Removed? :wtf:

Odd!! And the seller's ID can't be found. I found a cache of the listing and the seller ID was copied correctly.

We have to see pictures - the fakers can use ANY prefix, it's just that the ones starting with J are the most common. I'd be very worried about the stamp on the buckles though.

Thanks Hyacinth, my camera phone sucks so I bought it and will just return it if it's wrong. I just didn't have enough coffee in my system to judge for myself. :smile1: Here you go:

Let me know if you need more pics. THANKS!

First of all, stop contacting the seller. If you're contacting her through Ebay Messaging she could report you for harrassment.

If she's admitted in any message that the bag is fake, report the fake bag to Ebay with a copy of what she said and the Ebay Message number.

She's either a liar or an idiot. Her problem, not yours.

Meanwhile, it would be a really good idea for everyone to avoid buying any Coach products from clotheshorsegal
Hi, it is interesting that this seller says she does not sell outside of the US and yet when I look at all her listings she uses the Global Shipping Option. I have seen this before in listings where sellers state they don't offer international shipping yet the GSO is right there on the listing. When sellers opt for this shipping option don't they know where they are sending something? I have had 2 sellers state that they thought I lived in Canada but were instructed to send the item to Erlinger Kentucky which I believe is a shipping hub for Pitney Bowes.

Hi, can someone take a look at this bag.

Comment: I am a little intrigued by the serial number. It is showing a partial imprint from the next or last serial number but the partial image shows the plant code with what looks like an "A" while the plant code on the actual serial number is "B". Can that be possible? Or is this fake. Thanks.

Although I don't recommend clotheshorsegal, I'll comment on her shipping. In defense of this seller and others who say they don't ship internationally but don't block international buyers, blame that on eBay. Whether a glitch or purposeful ebay antics, eBay has been opting sellers into the global shipping program whether they want it or not.

Usually it's not until they sell something to an international buyer that they learn were opted in without their knowledge. The default is an automatic opt-in and sellers have to manually go into their accounts and opt out.

It looks fine to me. The numbers were on a roll so it is common to see a partial imprint of the numbers above or below the stamped numbers. What you have to watch out for are counterfeiters that make fake overstamping marks that don't correspond to the numbers or letters that would have been next on the stamper. This is an authentic Wendell Tote.

In my opinion, it is probably fake. The solid brass on the buckles is very worrisome since I've never seen that on such a recent bag. The creed stamping doesn't match the font or format of other creeds from the same era. I have a creed from one month after this one that still has the "Made in the United States" across the bottom of the creed. The creed looks too puffy and the numbers are too thick. Compare it to this one:

That is so interesting. I had no idea that was the way it worked. Very recently a seller and I mutually agreed to cancel a couple of transactions because they were completely unaware of the Global shipping program. I had originally messaged them with thoughts to shipping charges for multiple items and they were going to charge me an additional 9.00 for shipping even though I had already paid outrageous shipping (and import charges). They were stunned when they heard the final total for my purchases. They told me that eBay said they had the USPS priority shipping option when they questioned it. I'd really like to know who gets all that cash including the import charges because I never pay those charges when regular shipping is offered.

Thanks. I just thought that the letter representing the plant code would have been the same.

That was my opinion too whateve - and it just didn't "feel" right, if you know what I mean. It also has a dash under the "o" in No. instead of a dot. It was in the case at GW this morning, and I had to make a quick decision with a brain that hadn't had its regular fill of coffee, lol. I figured if it was fake, at least I was saving someone else from getting taken this morning. I'll be returning it later tonight and letting them know it's a Foach! Thanks so much for your input - my instinct is pretty good, but I always like to have an expert opinion!
