I own this Coach. It was given to me last Christmas. I was told it was purchased from a Coach outlet by my father in law and his fiance. I was considering listing it, and it came with a matching wallet. Prior to listing and doing research, I noticed the serial number didn't come up anywhere. I hope you might be able to take a look at it. I'll post as many pictures as possible, not of the wallet unless the purse is deemed authentic, because the wallet came clipped to the purse, at least when it was given to me for Xmas.

Your bag looks authentic. You can't use the entire number to search because it includes date and factory codes. The part of the number after the dash is the style number. If you do an ebay search with the style number 22222, you get listings that all look similar to your bag. http://www.ebay.com/sch/Womens-Handbags-Bags-/169291/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=coach+22222
The bags currently on ebay with that style number have a slightly different pattern but that is just because they are the newer version.
The F before the style number indicates it was made for factory.

Cool! The offer stands if its ever needed, I've been scanning my own paltry collection after the recent tornado wave (my priorities are a little skewed mebbe) :-)

I always picture the COACH authenticators surrounded by a mountain of catalogs, thumbing madly through them when we submit oddball "finds"... :-)

So appreciate the knowledge that you all share with us
- Thank YOU a million!

Does a 13-inch high stack qualify as a "mountain"? It feels like one when I pick up the bag - has to weigh at least 20 pounds. :D

I just received what is supposed to be a Coach Chambray two-tone Penny Purse... I got it for $55 with free shipping and I'm debating on keeping it.... Not sure if it's even real... Here are pics:

So the plastic loops are still attached and the leather still looks and smells brand new but as seen in the last two pictures there was some really sloppy stitching. It makes me wonder about this bags story... What could've made it rip only there... Or is this possibly a fake? I'm thinking of keeping this as a throw around purse but the bad stitching makes my tummy hurt.... Here are the sellers info (I've posted about this purse before):

eBay item # 161151348310
Seller: mima2912
I'll post the link in my next post... I have to switch to my computer to get the URL...

That stitching is horrible. It makes me wonder if someone tried to repair it on their own. I don't think Coach would have put it on the market like that. The purse looks authentic other than that. I believe you still have a case for item not as described, since that stitching is definitely a defect. The seller avoided mentioning it or showing a picture of it.
What a mess! The seller listed as "new without tags." It should have been categorized as "new with defects" if it's really new and unused.

However, in this case it wasn't necessary to open a dispute. The seller has a 14-day return policy, meaning that you can return it for any reason at all. And according to the seller's terms, for a return, you only need to pay return shipping which is usually on the buyer anyway.

Update with the seller's response.

Item: No. A72 9755 British Tan Pocket Purse Shoulder Bag
Listing number: 171176319181
Seller: cjpfr

Comments: Kinda blurry on the creed, also numbers not lined up well. Otherwise very good condition.

Thanks much and happy Thanksgiving!
The creed is pretty messed up but I think it is authentic. They just made a mistake at the factory.
