This bag was marked crazy cheap at my local thrift, with no major issues and "As Is" - which is usually this thrift store's code for "we think it's fake". The tag looked real to me, and I needed a tan tag, so bought it. On closer look - I think the bag is authentic as well?
Not sure of style.
In my possession.

Thanks again!

Re catalogs/
If you all ever would consider a volunteer for scanning your catalogs etc, I'd be glad to do it - my professional background includes about 15 years working in document management.. in other words, I have scanned (literally) pallets of legal documents, catalogs, 50 years of guestbooks from a hotel, blueprints & art.. and just plain paper/ephemera.

I've sworn I'd never do it again as a job, but would absolutely be pleased to donate my services to help pay forward all of the help you all have given me over the years.
I have the equipment.
Could make them searchable as well.. pdfs would be my recommendation

DM me if you think I might be of help on this, probably an after holiday project, but would be pleased to assist.

For myself, thanks for the very generous offer, but luckily I usually don't need the newer ones scanned since I don't have to refer to them that often - one of the advantages of concentrating mostly on items from the 80s and 90s.

Thanks again! :flowers:

It doesn't look like there are any problems.

Their loss is your gain - enjoy!

Thank you! A couple more coming.... I have a slight COACH problem :-)
You're welcome! Don't we all have a "slight" Coach problem?

This one looks good too. It's a Hampton's demi made for factory.

Thanks a lot Hyacinth. Both leather hobo & Signature Carly was sent with dust bags which make me suspicious of fake items. May be I haven't come across that kind of coach dust bag. Anyway thanks to the expert.

Those are the right dust bags for that time period, although like you've already heard, those bags have been faked just like most Coach dustbags.

I just received what is supposed to be a Coach Chambray two-tone Penny Purse... I got it for $55 with free shipping and I'm debating on keeping it.... Not sure if it's even real... Here are pics:

So the plastic loops are still attached and the leather still looks and smells brand new but as seen in the last two pictures there was some really sloppy stitching. It makes me wonder about this bags story... What could've made it rip only there... Or is this possibly a fake? I'm thinking of keeping this as a throw around purse but the bad stitching makes my tummy hurt.... Here are the sellers info (I've posted about this purse before):

eBay item # 161151348310
Seller: mima2912
I'll post the link in my next post... I have to switch to my computer to get the URL...

That stitching is horrible. It makes me wonder if someone tried to repair it on their own. I don't think Coach would have put it on the market like that. The purse looks authentic other than that. I believe you still have a case for item not as described, since that stitching is definitely a defect. The seller avoided mentioning it or showing a picture of it.

Thanks, I went and opened a case with eBay...

Cool! The offer stands if its ever needed, I've been scanning my own paltry collection after the recent tornado wave (my priorities are a little skewed mebbe) :-)

I always picture the COACH authenticators surrounded by a mountain of catalogs, thumbing madly through them when we submit oddball "finds"... :-)

So appreciate the knowledge that you all share with us
- Thank YOU a million!
