This has to be fake. The creed looks off and "scratches" doesn't appear to have an "a".

desc. authentic vintage coach black leather
seller: pillowk99
item no. 131045787488
link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/131045787488

YIKES...the serial number looks like a car odometer!
Yikes! Report that one!!

Here's the creed in case it disappears:

BTW, someone should look at this listing from the same seller, pillowtk99. The creed looks puffy, the serial number looks thick and there's a border around the serial:

Thanks, BeenBurned! :)

You're welcome.

What style number are you comparing the bottom to?
This is a late response (apologies) re: listing for Vintage Classic Coach Black Leather Tote Briefcase Bag 6065 VGC

I was unable to find anything with the 6006 chelsea tote number outside of spectacles and this:

Totally wrong, I know.

Before you told me the serial number and name, I was looking/comparing it to 6008, which is similar but different (smaller, inner pockets, different bottom, obvs), if that makes any sense. Here are some examples:

Probably apples to oranges, but was trying to figure it out on my own. I feel like I ask so much of you ladies, especially lately, trying to get my sister a birthday and Christmas gift (which she probably won't appreciate:blah:). And here I am gunking up the thread!:nogood:
So, sorry about that! Just seemed queer the bags would be so similar and have different bottoms. I should probably know better by now that Coach liked/s to mix it up.
I do really appreciate all that you do!

You can't compare two diferent styles even if they're from the same line.

The first one is ok. The second probably is too although it's close to being an authenticity disclaimer. The vintage experts need to look at it but it probably IS a Coach.

And the reason she used the same photo for both listings is probably because she showed the corners of both bags in the same photo.
Thanks Hyacinth. I couldn't quite work out that last pic.
Re the second bag I've never seen one with no markings so will be interested in comments from the vintage experts ( as its obviously quite rare you would have thought the seller would make an effort to get it authenticated).

Thanks for authenticating the red carousel too - it's tempting!

Hi all!
You asked me to keep you updated about a group purchase I made that had a counterfeit.
The seller did agree to a partial refund after I returned the fake to her, so we worked it out.
I thank you all for your help with this!

We're glad you were able to get your money back for the fake. Unfortunately some sellers aren't nearly as honest.

You're welcome.

I'd call the Soho questionable without more proof. But there's no way I'd tell someone to buy it. It has a Solid Brass stamp on the buckle too which Sohos shouldn't have.

1- Genuine but definitely NOT from the 1970s. It's a genuine Pocket Purse from the early 1990s.

2- Genuine

Thank you Hyacinth. I've learned to ignore claims about bags from the 1970s unless it's verified by the ladies here. I figured it wasn't from the 1970s but wonder if it's a form of false advertising for those who can't tell. 20 years is a big difference.
