Sorry the sellers photos aren't all that great. In all honesty I'm not considering purchasing this bag but I just have to know. The absence of any numbers on the creed is a big red flag for me. Thanks for your time!

Comments: No serial number on the creed???

That has to be fake, some of the details just don't "feel" like a Coach. That pillow-ticking lining just doesn't fit a Madison-style bag with Carriage emblems, that size bag would always have a serial number, the proportions and stitches of the hangtag seem off, and although it's hard to see how the Carriage emblem is attached, it's not the way Coach would ever use that kind of emblem, and it seems like they would have used the full HAC emblem, not two or three pieces that look like they came from a fake charm or keychain.

The straps' O-rings look thin and cheap. The bag itself has no structure at all - if you set it down on its base it would just collapse into a heap.

And a retail value of $3598???? Yeah, I'm sure her "manager friend" is going to be giving her a 3600 dollar purse! 3600 dollars for some glitter and sequins?

Sheesh. Maybe all the so-called "samples" from Randiesstuff have made me super-cynical, but I don't trust ANY so-called "sample Bag" any more. I personally wouldn't report it, but I sure wouldn't buy it.

Thanks you.

I'm not Hyacinth but I'll authenticate it for you. The bag is an authentic Coach. It was made before Coach used creeds or serial numbers. The seller is a little off on some of her information. I doubt she actually did "extensive research." Coach started using the creed in the mid 70's so this bag could have been made as late as the early 70's. This style was designed in 1967 by Bonnie Cashin so it isn't older than that. The style is not unique or very rare. It was made for many years as it was very popular. It is called the skinny tote. Even though it doesn't say it, it was made in New York City at the original Coach factory. Later versions were unlined. It's a beautiful bag. Congratulations on winning the auction!

Technically, vintage means anything at least 20 years old. Twenty years ago, all Coach bags were all made in the US. Many of the bags that were made in the mid to late 90s that we associate with vintage styles were made in plants in the US and other countries.

Is this purse authentic? I have never seen one like this.

THanks
It looks like an authentic Hudson Bag 4113 from the Lightweights collection made in the early 90s. I'm not sure I've ever seen one before either. It is pretty rare, and the ivy color is very rare too. You almost never see items of this collection in that color. Unfortunately, the dyes they used for this collection were very susceptible to fading. It is missing the shoulder strap.

Hi,
Just wanted to check whether this bag is authentic or not. I bought it in a Coach Outlet at Johor Premium Outlet in Malaysia. I just realized that the creed is missing the rest of the sentence after the 'The grain are a characteristic...' Does this mean it is fake?? I don't know the name of this bag as it was my first Coach bag.

Thank you

That's the way many of the newer creeds are worded.

And if you bought it at a Coach Outlet it's very unlikely that it's fake.
