It looks like style number 40279, I think the name was Suede Embossed Signature Wristlet probably from 2006 or 2007.

Both seem genuine. The Willis was made in 1998 so it's not past the 20 year-old mark that we consider "vintage".

Personally, I won't authenticate nor recommend listings being sold on ebay.ph because we've seen too many AAA 5-star fakes and to the inexperienced Coach buyer, they're nearly impossible to identify as fake. The minute details that prove fake can be easily missed by even experts.


In fact, the second seller's (tj123010) listings have been posted here and commented on. The seller is one who is NOT to be trusted.

Hello Ladies..Here is a charity sale item I picked up for rehab. Just wanted to get your opinion first. It is approx. 11.5 X7.5 and has a pocket under the flap. The creed is a bit puffy and the numbersr un together, but have read here sometimes that is OK. Any help will be appreciated. If fake, well.. the money went to charity, so all is not lost. any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

What I've got here is a bag I bought off of eBay. It's a Park Metro Tote in Mahogany, with a tag saying that the Style Number 24341. There's a small frosted plastic tag in the interior side saying it was made in Vietnam. It looks good to me-- well-made, everything clean and neat. But one thing that bothered me is that the dog leash clip closure is vertical, whereas the pictures I've seen of 24341s have horizontal dog leash clip closures. I did find Style Number F25663 on Amazon.com, and they look EXACTLY the same as the 24341, except with the vertical closure like I have. So I guess the bag I got had the WRONG tag attached and is actually a F25663?

Also, is the Serial Number fake? It starts with "C1380". Is that even a real serial number for Coach bags?

I see what you're talking about.

What you refer to as a "vertical" clip is that it attaches front to back and what you refer to as "horizontal" clip attaches side to side.

I am not familiar with either style so I don't know how they're supposed to be or if Coach might have made the style two different ways. (Maybe someone who has the bag might know the answer to that.)

As for the comparison of two styles you're comparing, they are different sizes. The approximate measurements (based on listings) are:
24341: 19" L x 9.5" H x 6.25" D
25663: 13.75" L x 10.75" H x 4.25" D

Other than the differences in the clip, I don't see anything that indicates that your bag is fake.

The fact that we are seeing plenty of bags with each variation makes me believe both are authentic but I've never seen either IRL. The version I'm seeing at on Coachfactory.com now has what you refer to as a horizontal clip. A clip that direction is used in larger bags to cinch the sides of the bag in to make it appear smaller and change the shape, while the vertical clip is just used to make the contents more secure.
