Hi I just got this lovely wallet so before I start any rehab can anyone tell me for sure that it is authentic?
Also if so, when it was made and what collection it is from?
THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Could someone please authenticate this for me? The creed is 0998-331.

It's black leather and measures 7" high, by 8" across and is 2 1/2" wide.

If you need anything else, please let me know. Thanks!

Lucky, lucky you! It's from the Madison collection from the mid 90s.
YAY! Thanks Whateve!!
I was hoping it was one of those!
It was lying haphazardly and unidentified even by brand - in a group photo with some miscellaneous so-so bags and wallets being sold as a lot. There were no individual photos
but I took a chance when I saw the wallet (and one old Brighton wallet).
I was the only bidder at 2.99 (shipping was $18 though).
A STEAL!! - now to do some work on her!:yahoo:

Thanks Hyacinth and whateve. I'm going to have to excuse myself from a meeting for a few minutes to bid on this one! LOL. The things we do to get a bag we want!
You're welcome! Did you win it?

Thanks, whateve!

You're welcome! Great deal!

VERY fake - the whole creed with that black inked background is fake, and of course the "Bean Bags" are always fake too. The edge of the inside of the flap by top of the inside pocket is a sloppy mess, and even the leather texture looks a bit wrong.

Please report if you can.

I had to laugh! Did you read BTMVintage's description? If you did that "research," wouldn't it be cause to question authenticity? Good grief!

It has an unusual label for a Coach bag ("This is a Coach Bean Bag. It is made of a completely natural glove-tanned cowhide..." etc.), and research yielded only baffled commentary from other vintage lovers...while the inside is certifiably suede, and quite soft at that, the outside does not appear to be leather.

I clicked on report this item on etsy, but the reporting guidelines look like you can only report if you are the intellectual property owner or the buyer. If you are the buyer, you can only report for nonreceipt.

That is ridiculous - if you google "coach bean bag" the top three hits are about how no authentic Coach Bag will have "bean bag" in the creed. I will be sure to avoid Etsy seller BTMVintage

It's from the 1993 Manhattan Series and is either a Museum Bag style 4127 or a Bistro Bag style 4125. The Museum is listed by Coach as measuring 9 3/4 x 8 x 3 1/2 and the Bistro as 8 1/4 x 7 x 2 1/2, so the Bistro would be a closer match. The design details on both look similar except the Bistro is described as having an outside back pocket and inside zipper pocket while the Museum has a front pocket under the flap, no back pocket, and "an inside center zip compartment with inside zipper pocket".

Thank you!

Both seem to be genuine, but the second seller has the date wrong, the second one is from 1994. The first one was made in 1993.
