The Dooney is authetnic and I have an email in to someone who might know the LV.

Thanks! That many fakes from one seller makes me think she got them directly from the counterfeiters.

Like I mentioned before, I'm sure they're still making those fakes somewhere. Too bad Coach probably wouldn't care enough to investigate that seller if those bags were reported to them. But I doubt if they care about fakes of styles they haven't sold for over 10 years.

I'd like another opinion on these two with J8H and J9H prefixes. The creeds don't match the fonts of those I know are authentic.

I think the J9H- serial from " the_score " or "the score " is fake too. That date code is from a full year before that style was released.

I don't care HOW big a seller she is or how much Ebay likes her - she does NOT take the proper care in authenticating her Coach items. She lists My Poupette as authenticator - not only has My Poupette really destroyed their once-good reputation in the last few years - read the threads here at tPF like this one:

but they have NO real experience authenticating Coach! The bag is genuine but the seller needs to take Coach authentications a LOT more seriously.

Gosh, that's so sad to hear. I agree that if a seller list a bag(s), he/she should be responsible in ensuring the item is authenticated accurately and properly.

Are you sure the other one was exactly the same style number? There are 2 totes in the Westpost line too but I don't have measurements for either one. None of the three Westports are in any of my catalogs so all the information I have is from listing photos but the info on # 4243 is from a listing by GigiTrading and she was very accurate with names and measurements.

No not sure at all. Could be I was fooled on dimensions. I will look through sold listings to see if I can find the one I saw. The problem is most sellers never really know the style or list the style number in the description so it's like looking for a needle in a haystack. I do know that the one I saw did have those same large nickel grommets that the straps came through. Is that a style detail for the Westport line?

The big grommets were in all 3 Westports that I have photos of but that's just about all I know. Here are 4241, 4242 and 4243:

I got it as a present from my Family. The look of this bag is lovely and I'm 99% sure that it's authentic but since I'm quite disappointed with the quality of the bag (especially the inside of the bag I kinda expected a better quality... ) so i think it's better that i ask for confirmation from you guys.

No Signature C bags were ever made in 1999. And the C pattern isn't even close to being centered, the hardware is thin & cheap, the hangtag is fake, the creed is a mess - not just the stitching but the whole thing isn't even centered correctly. Please report.

Oh, and the creed says the bag is made of cowhide.
