Thanks Whateve, I got my first Issy and am very happy with her!

But going back to the old scam seller romanymiro and supposed victim of photo theft itsinaclutch. I'm really starting to feel the latter is no innocent victim and may be connected even though they are in different states.

Since this is an authentication thread, please let me know if this should be re-posted elsewhere. I posted here because if another tpfer tries a search on these still active items, it'll show up.

Take a look at current listing by

scam seller: romanymiro again brazenly using itsinaclutch's photos.

Item: Saffiano North South City Tote in Vermillion Red 23821
item # 161101500597
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-Saffi...597?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item258265d0b5

and in this one, no identifying watermarks and could fool many except for the 2 photos that show a drastic difference in colors.

Item: NWT Saffiano North South Tote in Coral 23821
Item #:161102072778
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-23821...778?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item25826e8bca

Comment: I've messaged itsinaclutch twice regarding photos being used - and the fake listing by romanymiro for the black/silver Isabelle was removed and she thanked me, again. But never did send me additional photos for her current listing of black Isabelle as I requested, just some excuse that the bags haven't been unpacked so I bought from someone else.

Any normal seller who was truly victimized twice would be checking up and making a claim through eBay to put a stop to this, but she isn't. And itsinaclutch herself (I'm assuming a she but I could be wrong) is selling a Michael Kors bag with only one stock photo.

Here's itsinaclutch's still active listing for Isabelle (she had about 5 bags using the same 3 crap photos) we talked about, and a shoddy one picture listing for a Michael Kors tote.

Item: Madison Isabelle 21224 in black/silverhardware
Item # 121169383998
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NWT-AUTHENT...998?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item1c3642123e
Comment: still the same 3 pictures, can't even be sure they are hers now.

Here's the link to her Michael Kors tote with one stock photo from manufacturer
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-23821...778?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item25826e8bca

(wasn't sure if I should put it here since this is a Coach site but just wanted to alert about this seller who has a fairly good 99.5 % positive out of 4380 feedbacks.)

I think we've established that romanymiro who is only selling Buy It Now instead of auction is to be avoided. But what about itsinaclutch? I personally will avoid both but feel very uncomfortable that this kind of seller is connected with someone like romanymiro and selling Coach.

I don't want to ruin an honest seller's reputation but at the same time, I would want other tpfer buyers to be knowledgeable about itsinaclutch's careless photos and murky practices. If any buyer gives itsinaclutch a neutral or negative feedback, she has a strict policy of retaliating by stating in her feedback that the buyer has been blocked. While a buyer probably wouldn't care, its still unpleasant.
I'm glad you found an Issy. Isn't it an amazing bag?

This is the proper place to post any discussions about sellers. I agree that it is possible that romanymiro and itsinaclutch could be related. Whether or not these sellers are honest or not, we would never recommend buying from any seller that only uses stock photos or doesn't use sufficient photos to assure the buyer of authenticity.

Hello!

I am totally new to this thread so I apologize in advance if there isn't enough information to authenticate, but may I please have help with the below posting?

thank you!

Vintage Coach
seller: bike33701 (21 )
eBay item number:171117591858

http://www.ebay.com/itm/171117591858?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

Thank you so much for the help!
Although the creed isn't readable, the bag is probably authentic. If you can get a clearer picture of the creed, we'll look at it again.

Hi! I am brand new to vintage Coach items, and am very curious about this listing. Any info is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Item:vintage Coach Classic

Seller:alstimewarp2 (ebay). Alstimewarp (etsy)

Ebay listing:http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Coa...t=Vintage_Handbags_Purses&hash=item1c3650bea8
I'm pretty sure this bag has been discussed here before but I can't find it in the search. The seller is wrong about a lot of things. It can't be authenticated without a picture of the creed but it appears to be a Madison Biltmore bag from the 90's. I don't have price information for what it originally sold for but larger bags from the collection were priced between $300 and $400. The color might be celadon. The brush and eraser included in the listing did not come with this bag as they are meant to be used for a suede bag. I don't see the original dustbag mentioned in the listing unless the seller is referring to the small bag the suede brush came in. This collection came with beige felt dustbags with "The Madison Collection" on the front. I own this bag in another color.

I'd like to add a comment. IMO, you needn't feel bad about posting a listing that you have no intention of buying. Posting a fake, making it known that its fake, and demonstrating to others that it is fake brings the listing to the attention of some who find and report fakes. In those cases and in others, doing so gets the listing removed, thereby protecting another buyer from getting ripped off.

Authentic

you ladies are really nice. thanks BeenBurned. tcre always.

Thanks. The seller claims that it s rare. It that the case?

Some of the 2001 Penelope bags are a bit HTF, actually. They were only made for a short time and it's hard to even find copies of old catalogs that show the full line. Some of the styles remind me of some earlier designs that Bonnie Cashin did for Coach and I think they may have been done as an homage to her since they were introduced the year after she died. I have one of the Penelope bags and love it.

Hi everybody. twotimebags advised me of the stupid error I made with my bag listing so I removed it, corrected it and relisted it. Thank you :)

now though I am curious about a few others, I will be glad to relist and correct anything I've been wrong on (which now I'm expecting!)

Item: CLEARANCE COACH BONNIE CASHIN Leather Handle SHOULDER tote 60s vtg bag

It is against the policy of the purse forum for sellers to post links to their own listings. To get your items authenticated BEFORE listing, you can post photos of your items here and we will be happy to authenticate them for you, as well as answer any questions you have about styles and dates. The bag in your listing is not a Bonnie Cashin design nor is it from the 60's. You have a link to an outside website in your listing and you encourage buyers to buy outside of ebay - violations of ebay rules. I'm surprised ebay hasn't suspended your account already.

I agree with Whateve (I've also removed the link to your listing from my post).

Not only is that bag NOT a Bonnie Cashin bag OR 1960s vintage, it's not even close. The "Made in the United States" at the bottom of the creed only came into use in 1988. Cashin left Coach in 1974. It doesn't even have any of Cashin's styling details so I don't understand how or why you're using her name in your listing. Call it lack of research or keyword spamming, but you really need to be more careful about how you describe your merchandise. Educated Coach afficionados don't have any patience with sellers who misuse Cashin's name without proper research.

And technically, a buyer might even be able to file a SNAD claim based on it being a false or misleading description. If a name-brand item is advertised as being by a certain designer like Bonnie Cashin, it had darned well BETTER be, and the seller should be able to prove it since actually being by a "name" designer obviously adds to the value of an item. If a seller is advertising something as a vintage Chanel suit, they need to be absolutely sure that it was really made by Chanel and not Joe Blow from Kokomo.

I've removed the listing. And, my apologies for including the link to my own listing - I didn't think it through all the way clearly :push: thank you very much for this information though.
I know it is completely incorrect, but as a seller, and not a Coach expert, I saw the 'Bonnie Cashin' being used as a keyword in listing titles. This is why I decided 'yeah, it's a great idea to stick that in there, great!' instead of realizing that it was very misleading. I realize now that you can't use her name just to drive traffic to the listing. -__- Thank you however. I'm very appreciative that you set me straight about this.

Sorry, I missed your question about the price, they were $228 in the Winter-Resort 2005 catalog, and came in 2 other trim colors and designs. There was a full line of bags including a different group with a white background with bubbles, and also scarves and even a beach towel. And of course a keychain.

Thanks for the pricing info and additional pics...the keychain is toooo cute...more stuff to keep my eyes out for. Thanks, Hyacinth!

I haven't seen that one before. I like the shape. Hope I can get it for a price I can afford. Thanks very much.

I would love for you kind folks to authenticate this bag. I have concerns as the last 4 pull a recent signature release on Ebay? Also, does anyone know what this bag is called? It is approx 14x4x11-- crossbody.

I always appreciate your help, truly.

Thank you so much! Any suggestions from you amazingly educated ladies about how to get my hands on anything from the 50's or 60's Cashin era handbags? That style of the bag I had authenticated is similar to what I am looking for :). Thanks for sharing in your knowledge!

UPDATE: I checked my email this morning and the seller added a pic of the creed patch, would someone mind taking a look? And is $260 a good price if its a bag made in 2001? Finally, when did coach stop making in US? I want a made in USA bag, I'm excited t start my pre loved/vintage Coach collection! (I know this one is not vintage if made in 2001, but I do love the shape and style) :)
