Thanks a ton!
I recently found storenvy and haven't seen a report function before.. perhaps there is one in the contact us section?

I looked through several of their Policies and FAQs pages - apparently they feel that since they require customers to use Paypal, that allows them to avoid any responsibility for removing fakes unless a complaint is filed with PP. I didn't find any clear statement that they don't allow fakes or take immediate action against sellers reported for selling them., and no real-time reporting or verification system. They mention replicas but keep the language vague and seem like they're more worried about bootleg dvds and software than fake handbags. Just my impression.

I just skimmed those pages but if anyone can find other policy statements, please post. Otherwise, I'd recommend finding another place to shop.

Hmm, yeah that's about all I've found too. What is Ebay's policy on fakes?

Comments: Just wanted to see if someone could authenticate for me before I decide to place a bid. I really want this bag and it's at the price I could get it at the outlets (if I can find it) but includes the wallet. I am skeptical though especially since it is preowned and only had the one picture up.

Thank you as always!

The picture is the seller's own but it's impossible to authenticate the listing with just one picture.

Hi,
I asked the seller for more pictures which they have now added. Could you please authenticate, and do you think $315 as a starting bid is reasonable?

Thank you ladies for all that you do. :smile1:

It's not allowed. If they find them, they remove them. There is a reporting process. Certain companies have their own representatives that monitor listings and get them removed. Ebay will put limitations on sellers if they are found selling a fake. If a seller is a repeat offender, they may suspend their account.

Well that's good to know!!

Ebay has a reporting system in place. Whether or not they follow it depends on what their bottom line is for that month, and how loudly Griff's Special Snowflakes scream when one of their items is reported as fake and removed. Because of a number of lawsuits by LV and other designer brands they've been forced to at least seem like they pay attention to reports, but that varies according to things like wind direction and the phases of the moon. :graucho:

And they do have a VeRO (Verified Rights Owner) program where official reps of the manufacturers supposedly have final say in what gets removed. Judging by some of the hideous monstrosities that are reported over and over by posters here and never removed, either the Coach VeRO rep leaves something to be desired, or Ebay simply ignores their reports when it suits them to do so.

The photos look ok to me but more opinions are welcome.

We're not supposed to comment on prices, check the thread Rules in post number one. Check the prices others have sold for on Ebay and decide if a preowned one is worth that price to you.

comment: Hi I'm curious about this bag I would like to know if its authentic and what this bag is called. I have tried asking around but no one seems to know anything about it. Thank you

It might be a bag from the Westport line from the late 1990s but there isn't much information on them and between that and the minimal photos it makes it very hard to authenticate. Probably genuine but that's all I can tell you.
