Three of three:

Amanda Foldover Clutch. My third green bag of the week. What's funny is that I don't think I have ANY recent Coach bags in green. I have a green Geometric Bag and a dark green Taylor Zip and maybe a little crossbody like an Abby but I tend to stay away from green bags because I don't have what I need to rehab them and I don't tend to wear green. (Teal and peacock, however, I do wear.) I will have to figure out why all this green is coming to me now.

Thanks in advance!!!:tender:

Looks ok to me. In fact, all three of them do.

And look at it this way - now you'll have a nice selection of bags to carry on Saint Patrick's Day. :D

If you are worried about the unusual strap adjustment - little tabs instead of a buckle - I have two cross bodies from this same line. Mine have flaps, but are otherwise identical to your bag. They are really handy and the leather is really nice.

Is there anything in particular that you are not comfortable with?

I guess I just missed out :shucks:

I'm not an expert but I just couldn't bring myself to agree on it. If I am ever not comfortable, I wont buy. That's just me. The seller did state the purse was from 2010, but clearly the creed stamp would indicate the purse was from 2000...am I correct on this? Just from my research anyways.

Oh well, lesson learned...

Thank you, but I am still not sure about it. Ive had another tell me it was not authentic. I guess if it truly is, Im just missing out cause I cant feel comfortable with it.

And the person who told you it's fake - what qualifies tham as a Coach "expert?"

This isn't exactly the same bag, it's the Chelsea Flap #9458 rather than the Zip but it's the same line and the next style number in sequence, and it's Coach's actual website photo. Please take a good look at the strap.

And please stop paying attention to self-appointed "experts" who think they're qualified to comment on the 10,000-plus styles of purses Coach has made so far because they may have owned one or two of them. They prove the saying that a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.

And yes, the bag is from 2000. Just because a seller can't figure out a year code doesn't make the bag fake either.

Thank you so much!! Now off to reblock that poor squished Icon Pocket Tote!

Already gone

Excellent.

That's the bag I have - I have both the small and the larger size, love love love them.

Never fear, there will ALWAYS be another bag.

It can be surprising how little sellers know about their bags. I had an exchange with a seller who was telling me that she got a bag marked with a 1997 date code from a friend in the mid-80's. (As an aside I am AMAZED at how many people get Coaches as "gifts" - where do I get friends like that?) I kept telling her how to read the date code and she wasn't getting it. Finally, I said, "Look, unless your friend has a time machine, you did NOT get that bag in the 80's." Anyway, I never take the seller's word for the name of a bag, when it was made, whether it is "RARE!" ... OR ... whether it is authentic.

Luckily for all of us, the good ladies here on the ATC forum are here to share their amazing expertise. Come back when you've found another beauty and they will totally hook you up!

(P.S. Welcome to tPF! I grew up in Little Rock, are you near there?)

That's been my experience too. When I point out a fake, they say that's why it's priced cheaper than the real ones. Or they'll tell me they've been selling counterfeits for years so it mustn't be illegal.
+1

This. Whenever I find a Coach purse on the wall with the rest of the bags, I assume the store decided it was a fake and put it out. Then, half of the bags they keep behind the counter end up being fake. One of my favorite things to do is pull all the Kate Spade label stickers off the fake KS's when I see them on the rack and, TA DA! no more fake Kate Spades.

Thank you, I am just going to come here for input from now on. I would like to know as much as I can about Coach as it seems I have fallen in lust over them lol My husband leaves for Basic Training in a few months & we have learned that the spouse gets separation pay. Told him that was a good thing since I am going to be so lonely while he is gone & a new bag once a month would help ease that pain :p

I do live close to LR in fact I work in NLR. I was born up in Jonesboro but was raised military so we moved a lot. Ended back in Ar after my parents divorced. I like it here, but in 1999 I met my husband & had a taste of Baton Rouge...turned me into a Tigers fan real fast. Would love to end back down there one day.

Thanks again for helping me. I'm still learning so you may see me more :D

Hi Ladies -

I've had a couple of nice finds that I would like to run by you. I don't have any concerns about these bags myself but would appreciate a second opinion before I give my sellers feedback. Thank you for your time!!!

One of three: American Icon Pocket Tote

I had read about how amazing the Emerald color is and, wow, it is stunning. Can believe I was the only bidder on this one.

I had this one, same color, in my WishList on Coach.com so it was meant to be. Was surprised bidding didn't go higher. Is the brown dustbag for the Coach Classic line?

All look good to me too.

(I see that you already got your answer from Hyacinth but since I'd multiquoted, I figured I'd answer too! :D )

You're right, the other Current ones on Ebay have zippers that are an inch longer on each end and actually go up the side of the bag a little.
So I emailed the seller through eBay and raised my concerns regarding its' authenticity and stated I would probably request a refund. Her first response was to ensure me it was authentic, she doesn't sell fakes, etc. I responded asking her if she has been on this forum to see the exchange.

Well, she called me overly sensitive, paranoid etc. and said she had cancelled the transaction and told eBay I had buyer's remorse. Also, she asked me to look at other listings (hotpinkcadillac) that was the listing with the same issues and (plentyofpurses) that was the one with the beat up hardware. Personally, I don't think she purposely tried to sell a fake but her childish response of resorting to name calling is very unprofessional. She is a new seller as well, good way to start a business.

eBay says you can't cancel a transaction if buyer has already paid. I don't see much success in getting my money back from her based on the responses I've already got. It's a case of "caveat emptor" I guess. I was thinking of asking PayPal to cancel the transaction to get my money back.

Based on that response, I'd file SNAD (through ebay) for the counterfeit bag. Although ebay tends to weigh heavily toward buyers -- often improperly, it's sellers such as your seller that forced their hand.

Just for the record, a paid transaction can be mutually canceled so the seller can get the FVF back. In that case though, it's when the buyer has returned it and received a refund or the seller has issued a refund.

I'm not a fan of arbitrarily negging a seller but this seller has earned her bright red donut! (Please post the seller ID so we know not to do business with her!)

If you aren't comfortable with a bag even with assurance that it's authentic, it's best not to bid/buy. It'll save you from always having the question of authenticity in the back of your mind and it can also save the seller the possible aggravation of a possible (and inaccurate) "fake" allegation.

You'll find another bag that you will feel comfortable about.

Thanks, good to know. I haven't received it yet but when I do I will start the ball rolling.
