Could somebody please authenticate this Coach bag for me?

Item name: unknown, I bought this second hand

It's authentic and a Legacy bag from 2006 but I don't know the style name.

Legacy Signature Cotton Hobo

I think I bought a fake, then. When I receive it I'll have to check whether there is corrosion on the grommets. It just seems so weird that two identical style bags from either end of the country have the same issues with mismatched grommets on the straps. Did this style get made with both metals of hardware?

It only came in three leather colors and each color only had one color of hardware available. Since we can't really be sure about the wear that particular bag went through, the too-short zipper is actually a bigger problem. Check out the other ones from the Completed listings:

Bought at Goodwill yesterday.
Approx. 11"w x 7"h x 4"d Strap drop 20"
My guess is a 1996 Worth Bag #4143 (I have one in black, also). Is this correct?
Thanks, as always, in advance!

Hmmm..... Same Goodwill location I contacted last time about a fake. I encouraged them to contact law enforcement to see if someone who works in counterfeit goods can assist them with some training in spotting these. (One of the other goodwills states that they do this... I was very impressed!).
Goodwill of South Florida. Maybe there's a big market for high end items down there and the customers are big targets for fakes?

Thanks, Whateve, I was pretty sure that's what you'd say. I'll email Goodwill.
You're welcome.

It does say on their listing that they don't sell counterfeits. Did they remove the fake the last time you contacted them?
