Comments: Thanks in advance

It's fake. Coach never uses Sig C or Logo lining inside a bag or purse with Cs or Logos as the outside pattern. And the outside Cs are much too big AND not centered. There are other problems but those are the most obvious.

Do you own this or is it currently listed for sale on another site?

I found it on poshmark...i told her it was fake. She said she bought it at Dillards..ha!

It's bad enough when someone tries to cheat you, because maybe they really don't know that it's fake. But when they lie about where they bought it, they know.

I hope you're keeping a list of sellers to avoid, although it's safest not to trust anyone on Poshmark. Does the site have any way to file a claim and get your money back if someone sells you a fake? Or do you just have to protect yourself by paying with a credit card?

I have not started a list, but I do report all of the fakes I have seen so far in my searches and I comment on them letting them know. The only recourse you have is within 72 hours of your purchase, I think after that its a done deal, period. The only way to purchase on there is with credit card or if you have a credit balance. You are supposed to confirm receipt of item thru their system once it is received by the buyer. And I believe (not 100% sure) that the 72 hours probably begins once it shows it have been delivered, not 72 hours from acknowledgement of receipt.

I am very leery of purchases thru poshmark. Not unless I have seen pics of every inch of a bag, creed and the whole shebang, and even then I'm still leery! There are many authentic and fake on there, but some people just don't care either way. Hyacinth :)

Yep, and just like with other sites like iOffer and Listia, it doesn't take the crooks long to figure out that they have a wide-open field to cheat people and make easy money at Poshmark, then disappear or change their ID and come back for more.

Even with all Ebay's problems and screw-ups, at least they've been forced to put a decent refund system in place, regardless of whether or not it always works the way it should.

I'm really not sure about that one. All the hardware looks pretty beat up.

I agree. I've never had a 90's bag have that kind of corrosion, like the layer that was brass came off. The zipper also seems too small for the bag.

You're right, the other Current ones on Ebay have zippers that are an inch longer on each end and actually go up the side of the bag a little.

I think I bought a fake, then. When I receive it I'll have to check whether there is corrosion on the grommets. It just seems so weird that two identical style bags from either end of the country have the same issues with mismatched grommets on the straps. Did this style get made with both metals of hardware?

I think it's fake but I wanted confirmation before I report. The month code and the plant code are wrong. The stitching looks a little too light. Was this style made in 1995?

X isn't a valid month code.

With new plants like this would have been, it's barely possible. But it's hard to imagine how even a new plant could have made a mistake where the letter was so far away from the valid codes, unless the native language of the person selecting the code to be stamped wasn't English. Other than that, the backpack looks like the one in Coach's website and like the ones in the Completed listings for that style.

So maybe a plant mistake? It's probably best to be cautious about reporting what might just be stamping mistakes unless they can be backed up by a mistake somewhere else on the bag.

Interestingly enough, this bag showed up tonight with an X month code and a G plant code. I don't see any particular issues with the bag:
