I'm looking for a Coach 9870 on ebay and finally narrowed my choices to these four, but I'm not sure about their authenticity.

Thanks for your help:smile1:!

All four look genuine.

In light of the recent mention of fake bags from Korea, I thought I'd post a picture of this tag. It shows exactly who made the bag and where. Note that the bag had a COACH hang tag and creed patch inside (with the same serial number shown on the yellow manufacturer's tag.)

Just thought it was sort of interesting.

I've seen similar tags in wallets and briefcases as well as purses. Here's a fake tag from a "Sheridan" wallet along with the wallet and box, note the fake style number, fake Coach stamped logos, and fake box with a fake trademark number that isn't even close to the number sequence a US trademark from the early 1990s would have had. The last photo is another fake "ID card" from a smaller fake Korean wallet.

BOTH style numbers on the tag in the wallet are wrong, the genuine full Sheridan Checkbook Wallet was number 4301, the stand-alone Checkbook Holder was 4307, neither matches the bogus number on the fake tag. I own both genuine pieces - the fake wallet doesn't have individually sewn credit card slots, just slits in a single leather panel which Coach has NEVER used. The genuine wallet had SIX credit card and ID slots, the fake only has five. The genuine wallet still had stitched edges on the credit card slots, the fake has no edge reinforcement at all. The real Checkbook Wallet had the snap and tab on the same side as the credit card slots, the fake has them on the checkbook side.

Any time you see one of those Korean manufacturing ID cards, it's 100 percent sure that whatever it was included with is fake. And Coach has never made the word "Leatherware" into two words.

Can you post photos of the creed stamp from the fake bag, and maybe one of the zipper pulls? I'd like to add it to my Fake Files.

One more photo - the genuine Sheridan Checkbook Wallet # 4301, which is the only one that would have had a separate checkbook cover, and which also had a framed kisslock coin compartment. Note the differences i mentioned in the previous post.

Could someone please authenticate this for me? Creed is B4B-4907.
It's brown leather and measures 10" high by 9 1/2" wide by 4 1/2" deep.

Please let me know if you need anything else. Thanks.

With new plants like this would have been, it's barely possible. But it's hard to imagine how even a new plant could have made a mistake where the letter was so far away from the valid codes, unless the native language of the person selecting the code to be stamped wasn't English. Other than that, the backpack looks like the one in Coach's website and like the ones in the Completed listings for that style.

So maybe a plant mistake? It's probably best to be cautious about reporting what might just be stamping mistakes unless they can be backed up by a mistake somewhere else on the bag.
Thanks. That's why I checked.
