Hi,
I didn't want to go through uploading pictures (I bought this from a flea market this weekend - it's not an online auction, so there's no worry about any other buyers (but me) being taken in), if there was no change this would be real. So, I figured I would ask if Coach ever made hard-sided briefcases before - it has Crest Locks (with the original tag for how to set the combination - proudly made on Herzl Street in Brooklyn), the glove-tanned cowhide creed, an outlet bullseye, the top of the creed says Coach Leatherware, below the creed wording is 'Made in the United States', and the number is F4H-5405 (with some of the numbers/letters having bars above or below - but not both).
Could this thing possible exist? I know coach made soft-sided briefcases/attaches, but this is definitely outside my purview. I was so struck by it, I had to bring it home, and thought it would be an odd thing to fake (now they would not be popular at all, but then again, at the time that was the style - very 80s - or at least, matches what my father was carrying in the 80s before the age of laptops).
I will definitely upload pictures if someone wants to see - or if this could exist and visual confirmation is needed. It's a very well-made thing, the dividers inside are all leather trimmed, the snaps are nice, but the innter shell is pulling away from the frame - due to age.
Thanks!
No, I don't believe the wording is invalid on the proper item. I think the counterfeiters copied a real creed but put it on an all leather bag, while obviously this creed refers to a fabric bag. Thanks for posting this. This is the bag that should have this creed. The bag is authentic.
I know - I was wondering too. I was so glad she posted the listing.whateve, this had been bugging me all day! Mystery solved - the "neoprene" bags!
I don't see any problems with the number. These were handstamped so it is common to get overstamping marks above and below the numbers. As long as these marks look like the bottom or top of the numbers that would be next, it is fine. It is authentic.Item: Rare Vtg 70's COACH Bonnie Cashin Broadway Speedy Doctor Purse Bag Satchel NEW!
Listing number: 390642669655
Seller: love2shopdotbags
Comments: The number looks a bit weird...like it was almost misprinted?
Thanks in advance!
"uncredible"? Webster's defines it as "incredible", which of course we are!Thought you might find this interestingly insulting and a bit libelous. I tried to contact the seller of the city bag and this is their response:
"I'm sorry you are not satisfied with your purchase but my items are sold with out any returns or refunds which is listed in my auctions. I believe this is a authentic bag and would never knowingly sell counterfeit merchandise. the site you are using for authentication is uncredible and I have this identical bag and know it is authentic. please let me know if there are any other questions you have.

I hope you are opening a dispute.
Has this seller cutie217 been directed here or is she just ASSuming that we're "uncredible" because if her unfamiliarity with how INcredible we actually are?Thought you might find this interestingly insulting and a bit libelous.
