Hello everyone! I think Joodlz' Coach-icane (or was it a Coach-nado) has been swirling through my neighborhood the last week or so ;) Picked up these two today and would love to have an opinion! I'll do two separate posts.

First up, a little one! Thought DD could use this for school this year.

Thanks!!

Authentic hamptons weekend pouch.

Thanks, I thought so, just wanted to make sure before reporting.
You're welcome. It's one of the "better" fakes, but fake nonetheless. report away!

A comparison of the creeds shows obvious problems. I wasn't able to find the same factory but all creeds for this bag had the border as shown on the authentic one below. Additionally, the fake has the wrong color lining.

Uhhhhh "cowhide?" Creed wording looks funny, I have never had a bag use "cowhide." I have also never had a brushed nickel station/Willis (I believe, correct me if I am wrong, please) made in Costa Rica......

Please authenticate this Coach.

Thanks in advance, hope this post finds you well. :D

I found this one with the same color lining. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-Signa...854?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item58a3253d96

I thought the zipper color was wrong and the end of the zipper sticks out. The stitching looked too white and thick. The brown edges of the leather have lost color like it was painted on. You can see the inside of the leather loops aren't colored.

What did you expect it to say? Most purses of this era and earlier use the "cowhide" wording. Brushed nickel hardware is fine as long as the bag wasn't made before 1998. Since this was made in 2002, it's fine.

Regarding the hardware color - it doesn't matter WHERE it was made, the important thing is WHEN it was made. Just because you haven't seen one doesn't mean it's wrong. And there's nothing wrong with a Willis from 2002 having nickle hardware unless the creed says it was made in Korea.

And at least 95 percent of the leather Coaches made since Coach started stamping creeds in them have used the word "cowhide". I really don't understand your statement at all.

Re your reply to Whateve - I STRONGLY suggest you spend an hour or two looking at listings for vintage leather Coaches and reading the creeds. Start with the ones below from the late 70s-early 80s and from 2002 and please let me know when you find one that says "glove-tanned leather".

It does not have a creed inside. Perhaps this bag is so small that Coach considers it an accessory?

I think that one is okay. I'd like to be able to see the creed, though.
