The serial number font looks like other B plant serial numbers. I have a B plant bag from 1998 that has a similar creed, although mine has a dash in the serial number that this one is missing. What questionable hyphenation? The price
I've not seen a rambler beyond the early 90s, the serial font looks odd, it had that questionable hyphenation in the Creed, and I've not seen the original rambler with nickel. There is one obvious thing there that helps me feel more comfortable. I guess I just needed reassuring!
When Paypal refunded your money as a result of the dispute, did they say you had to return the bag? If you already got your money back, I don't think you have any obligation to return the bag. Technically, it is illegal to ship counterfeits.
Some of us on the forum would save the leather to use for repair projects but destroy the fake creed patch.
When paypal issues a refund without directing you to return the fake, you're under no obligation to do so.
I agree that if the seller wants it, you shouldn't be out money to return it. But if she's smart (and thrifty), she'll just direct you to destroy it since she can't resell it anyway. That way, neither of you will be out any money for the return of a fake.
Removing the creed should be sufficient. Donating it would be nice.
To multi-quote, you click on the circle between the quote and qreply buttons for each item you want to quote, except for the last one. That one you click the quote button.
OMGI HAD NO IDEA HOW DO THIS!!!!! THANK YOU!!!

Coach was using nickel in 1999 and nylon zippers on the inner pockets. If this was a remake, then they could have used nickel.
It may have been a remake that was an online or catalog-only item. What are the things you're concerned about?
ETA - I'm not sure but that may be the same bag that was listed on Ebay back in March - someone asked about a Rambler here, and I saved this creed photo the same day. Both creeds have an outlet mark in exactly the same place.

I can't read the serial number but so far, I don't see any problems. If you can post a larger picture of the creed, it would help.
Was this purchased from an online listing somewhere? Please post a link to the listing.
It's a Christie bag #9892, made in the early 90's. It's authentic.Ladies, I'd appreciate your help in not only authenticating this cute little gem but hopefully the name of the bag and year made. If I need to go to the ID This Bag thread, I'll do that. LOL
The lock twists to open and you simply push to lock. There isn't a pocket on the back.
It's in my possession...here are my pictures and if the creed one is hard to see...it reads 0299-301 and it's made in the United States of America. These little bags are very hard to photograph.
Measurements are: 7 1/2" long, 6" tall, 2 1/2" deep and the non-detachable strap has a drop of 20"
Thanks so much. I appreciate all you wonderful ladies do.
Interesting! Thanks!

Thanks. ..the missing hyphen in the serial and the hyphenated words in the Creed that I think someone had previously questioned. I'm just going to go with it. I told her I'd buy it if it checked out and I like to honor my word... I'll know better once I have it in my hands.
Do you remember if it had nickel hardware?
My B factory creeds have the same hyphenations in the words glove-tanned and full-grain. I thought that the concerns with hyphenation was when words are hyphenated at the end of line.Thanks. ..the missing hyphen in the serial and the hyphenated words in the Creed that I think someone had previously questioned. Interesting! Thanks!
When you get it, could you post here and maybe also measure the total strap length? I'm curious if the remakes still had the 43-inch straps.![]()
