Back in the good old days, they used to give you your choice of strap lengths.

True, but only with the thinner straps with clips on the ends, and then it was a choice between 36 or 44 inches, at least according to the catalogs. Maybe the stores could arrange for longer straps for their customers.

I really HATE it when they don't give the actual strap length! I've had to return most of the bags I've bought from the FOS's because the bloody straps were too short. Between two almost identical File bags bought less than a year apart, the newer one's strap was 5 inches shorter than the older one! The last "crossbody" I bought only had a 35-inch strap - you'd almost have to be a freakin' hobbit to comfortably wear that cross-body. The longest straps I've found on recent bags have been on a few of the Kristins, and on the City Willis.

So anything I find with a loooooong strap is always appreciated. :smile1:

Thank you Whateve...I appreciate you! I love this little bag. I bought it for myself, gave it to my grown daughter instead...she sent it back to me and now I don't know if I want to sell it or keep it. LOL What to do...what to do!!!

It's a Christie bag #9892, made in the early 90's. It's authentic.

Ladies, I'd appreciate your help in not only authenticating this cute little gem but hopefully the name of the bag and year made. If I need to go to the ID This Bag thread, I'll do that. LOL

The lock twists to open and you simply push to lock. There isn't a pocket on the back.

It's in my possession...here are my pictures and if the creed one is hard to see...it reads 0299-301 and it's made in the United States of America. These little bags are very hard to photograph.

Measurements are: 7 1/2" long, 6" tall, 2 1/2" deep and the non-detachable strap has a drop of 20"

Thanks so much. I appreciate all you wonderful ladies do.

Was this purchased from an online listing somewhere? Please post a link to the listing.

I don't know whether I'm reading the serial number correctly but I think I'm seeing either 16476 or 16475. If either of those is the style number on the creed, there's a problem.

If possible, please ask the seller for a clear larger picture of the creed.

That's gorgeous and authentic but I have no idea of the name or original price.

BeenBurned, SillyMillyPup just identified my mystery bag as a Parker Exotics Small Flap Bag; see the pics at the link below. :happydance:

The photo of Eva Longoria carrying the bag was taken on July 26, 2009.

I have a question for you. I have been reading that Coach NEVER EVER uses genuine, exotic skins and that all of their croc and snake bags are embossed print leather bags.

I know that is true in general, but they have made some bags out of genuine exotic skins, right?

The creed on my new bag says that it is made of "genuine snake" so I figure that means that it is real snakeskin, is that wrong?

This looks like such a cute little bag for a young girl, but is it real???

Comments: The creed patch is a bit crooked.

VERY fake, don't waste your mpney. The word "craftsmanship" shouldn't be broken up between two lines and certainly NOT with a period . at the end of the first half - basic English-American Rules of grammar. And there isn't even a serial number, among other problems.

PLEASE REPORT.
Good grief! This is the first time I've ever seen that style of bag with a fake Coach label. It's one of the counterfeiters favorite styles in fake Kate Spades!
