The fake City Willis also has a date code of February 2011 which if I remember right is at least a year before that style was even introduced. It's probably one of those Philippine fakes, or another bogus serial number fake bag from RANDIESSTUFF

I'm reading the style number as 16778 also and this is an authentic listing for a bag of that style.

Like Hyacinth, I immediately thought of the fakes out of the Philippines, but now that she mentioned another seller, randiesstuff, I wonder whether this is the same seller with another ID. Randisstuff is supposedly registered in Brooklyn, NY and shiloh.908 is in NJ. Both sellers are in close proximity to each other.

After further research, in addition to the wrong lining color and fabric and wrong date codes, there are at least two other problems with the bag in shiloh.908's listing. One is the creed text and the other has to do with the color on a piece of the leather trim/accent.

I don't advise contacting the seller. Chances are she knows what she's selling and if she doesn't know, she didn't do her homework as required. Sellers are supposed to authenticate their items prior to listing to verify that they're legal.

Instead of contacting the seller, I recommend reporting the listing through the "report" button. (The listing has already been removed!) If you see it relisted, you can post here:

What's unusual too is that there's at least one more on Ebay with a Made in US creed and plant code that also has the solid black lining. All of the Made in China bags have the jacquard Signature C lining. Here's the other USA bag:

I think the bag is ok and the difference in the lining is because of where the different bags were made. Coach still made a few classic leather styles in the US until about 2004 but I don't ever remember seeing one with a C lining, but all the leather bags I've seen from China in the early 2000s seem to use the woven C-pattern jacquard lining.

(BTW, we're not supposed to comment on price but if that asking price is 600 USA dollars that seems really high).
