Hi all! This is my very first post so please, if I've done something wrong, feel free to correct me.

This forum is very informative and a little overwhelming. I did search previous posts for a bag similar to this one but wasn't able to find any.

This bag looks like a City Willis but the style number doesn't jive. I thought they all had the Legacy striped lining and I'm concerned about the plastic teeth on the inside zipper pocket. Any insight will be greatly appreciated!

Seller shiloh.908

I'm not comfortable with this bag either. Unless we're both reading the serial number incorrectly, the style is supposed to be a Kristin bag.

Item: pre-1994 Black Court Bag (strap may not be original)
In my possession, from tag sale
Creed specifics: very worn "Made in the United States", #0590-803 (I think)
Comments: looks okay to me, but not sure, would appreciate verification from the experts.

Thanks so much!

Fake! Don't bid!

BADLY wrinkled "elephant-skin" overprocessed leather, fake serial number with a style code that belongs only to a FABRIC bag from the Mercer line. There are other problems but those are the most obvious.

The bogus serial number M4S-7414 is ALWAYS fake and on both my and Daria48's Fake Serial Numbers lists.

DARIA'S GUIDE:

"M4S-7414 is showing up on quite a few fakes. The entire number is invalid and that style code would never be on a bag with that prefix - ALWAYS fake."

Let's hope whoever "won" that auction has the sense to check before paying for that POS.

Thanks, Hyacinth! I wasn't planning on bidding. I just noticed the creed font looked strange.
I've posted this in the Hall of Shame. Hopefully we can get it taken down before it sells but the auction's almost over.

I agree that the bag in the listing you asked about appears to be a fake.

However, City Willises and almost all newer Coach bags DO have nylon (not plastic) zippers on the inside pockets.

The fake City Willis also has a date code of February 2011 which if I remember right is at least a year before that style was even introduced. It's probably one of those Philippine fakes, or another bogus serial number fake bag from RANDIESSTUFF
