Comment: I love the color of this purse but methinks it could be fake, lots of the 'n's in the creed look like 'k's to me.

Sorry for so many but not much to do during storm weather but troll eBay!
The one from buyvalue is probably not authentic. The serial number has that mark around it that only fakes have. The prefix has been seen in many fakes.

All of other three are authentic. The second one is an Equestrian Large Flap. The last one is called a small framed pouch. I think the creed looks weird because it is curved in, causing the letters to look squished together.

Thank you for your expertise!

Hello Ladies!

Could you take a look at the Coach Bag and tell me if its authentic?
Whats bothering me about it is when i asked seller for photo of the inside patch,
She says there isnt one but she bought it from Dillards and it still has purchase
tag on it.

Thank you!!!

I went to the local Coach store a few days ago to try and get some info on this bag
And even they didnt recognize it and their system didnt return anything when they
Searched the serial number provided from the ebay listing. Could this be due
to the "P" being in the serial number? She did mention the "P" means pilot.

This will be my first Coach purchase, so I am new to all this stuff!

Thanks again!!

It comes up in a drilldown, which means the style is an authentic Coach style. "P" does mean pilot. If it is a pilot bag, it was probably only sold in a limited number of stores, some of which might have been department stores. The other styles in the same ticking stripe have already sold out, so that is probably true with this one as well.

I found this bag at a garage sale and wonder if anyone knows if it is authentic (I assume it is based on the feel of the leather) and when it is from, style name, etc. Thank you!

Bag dimensions: 11.5" wide, 8" tall, 4" deep

I am having some trouble getting photos to upload, here is the link to my Photobucket album: http://s1018.photobucket.com/user/megviole/library/
The bag is a Coach style. I can't see enough details to authenticate with the tiny photos on Photobucket. If you can imbed your photos in this thread, they will be larger.

It's a Brighton Bag, style 9895 from the early 1990s.

Hi all! This is my very first post so please, if I've done something wrong, feel free to correct me.

This forum is very informative and a little overwhelming. I did search previous posts for a bag similar to this one but wasn't able to find any.

This bag looks like a City Willis but the style number doesn't jive. I thought they all had the Legacy striped lining and I'm concerned about the plastic teeth on the inside zipper pocket. Any insight will be greatly appreciated!

To add to Whateve's comments, I just want to say that although it seems strange that we'd say it, the last place to go for information about Coach bags is a Coach store.

Coach employees aren't trained to authenticate. Employee turnover is high so unless an item is a current in-stock item, chances are they won't be familiar with it. Boutique employees usually aren't familiar with MFF items so not having seen a style doesn't mean it's fake. Coach has made thousands of different styles and it's impossible even for experts to be familiar with everything, much less Coach employees, most of whom were even born when some vintage bags were made. Also, Coach makes it pretty clear that they don't want their customers buying from ebay or other online reselling site and have been known to declare authentic bags as fake when they know they came from ebay.
