Comments: Concerned about the zipper pull being correct, it doesn't seem as wide as it should be. Don’t have anything to compare it to since the Ergo I thrifted is fake.

Comments: E plant code with United States creed language. Will link to your response to go back to the seller.

My eyes just aren't sharp enough to see these tiny photobucket pictures so I will only address these two. I don't think the zipper pull looks off on the Ergo. Does it seem narrower than zipper pulls you have on other styles? Ergos were widely faked though.

I can't quite read whether that is a 5 or 6 on the fake Taft but it doesn't matter because the E plant code was used exclusively to designate Italy. Any creed with an E plant code that states it was made in the US is fake.

Measurements, please. Tafts weren't introduced until Fall of 1995 and would have had style numbers in the serial. And you have photos of 2 different bags in that album. I don't know which one you want authenticated.
So sorry about that, too many photos of old black purses going on at once.

Try this instead:

5. Taft Bag - Thrifted

I think it posted. This shows the differences.

Cinshad, it might be better if anyone asking questions about specific bags post the questions in the Authenticate This thread in the future, since this thread is meant more as a reference tool than an authentication thread.

But about your bags - Coach has used both kinds of grommets. I have the "corrugated" ones on my Taft bags and the smooth ones on several other bags. And the earlier bags often had a one-sided hangtag, or sometimes used two tags glued together back to back that would often separate after a lot of use. All your Legacy Bags are probably genuine.

Thanks Whateve, for your reply, I'm hoping that these corrugated grommets that there was a discussion about on another Coach forum, were also put on this legacy satchel. lol

The pictures don't show the zipper pull clearly enough.

Thanks, Whateve. When you say "tiny" photos, I assume you are clicking on them? They show up pretty big on my screen. I just uploaded full res versions, so maybe that would help.

Here is my concern on the zipper pull (and I have found that many good fakes miss the zipper pull so I try to check those). First is my bag, then three photos of what I would expect, then another photo of my bag (and my cat) - I expect a shorter chunkier less tapered pull, but I don't have anything in hand to compare to. However, the three photos of shorter tabs could be fake and mine could be genuine.
