Seller: Hammybird
Ebay item No. 330891568015
style number shown is 9946, not 9966. I think the hardware (ring on zipper pull) is incorrec. Buckle is stamped SOLID BRASS.

I contacted seller. She insists that it is authentic, did her research, contacted Coach. ITem was a gift.

I suggested that she search listings for Coach 9966 and Coach 9946. She insulted me.

I am trying to help her. Sent her currrent Coach web URL for Legacy zip showing 9966 on bag.
I'm suggesting you wait for Hyacinth to confirm, but it looks as though serial number L4K-9946 is another potential addition to the "fake serial numbers" list.

Not only does this listing from seller hammybird not match the correct style of 9946, but a google search of the same serial number turned up otherr listings also with the same incorrect serial number.

This bag is also not a 9946:

Hello ladies, I have a couple of bags I need to get authenticated. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I also have a question about a plant code. I have two bags, one USA and one Dominican Republic, but both have the same plant code, Z. Which one would be right? I can post pictures if that will help.

1st one:
Creed No 0014-014

"Calfskin Small Pocket Satchel" is what my files show. And for 18 dollars? That is a steal and a half! Good luck!

Stop being nice to someone who isn't appreciative - just report it.

Fake hardware & stamp, fake serial number with wrong font, wrong creed wording for that plant and year.

The red one in the pics is a treasure. Its an original Rambler Bag. wish I knew the style number. I sold my Mahogany one that I bought in a Coach Store. It was discontinued just before the Rambler Legacy came out. Want it back :-(

The only way a Rambler # 9735 would have been immediately followed by the Rambler's Legacy would be if Coach had re-introduced the original style in the late 1990s for a short time. The original Rambler was made between 1986 and discontinued around 1991, which is 7 years before the introduction of the Rambler's Legacy #9061 (1998).

A late-90s re-issue is possible since many discontinued styles were re-released in the 1990s, but the re-issues would have had a combination letter and number serial. The original Rambler would only have an all-numeric serial.

:party:Yippee! I didn't plan on shopping today, spur of the moment popped my head into a small. local thrift shop I had just visited yesterday to see if any new bags came in and behind the counter....voila! I thought it was red...purchased it and saw the color outside - a gorgeous orange, which I love!!! As always, thanks Hyacinth for all of your time - it is appreciated!

My 12 year old is going to be over the top...she looked at the creed and said, yup, that's real...haha....she begged me to share with her!
