It looks good.

Since 1994, serial numbers on Coach bags aren't unique so you can find multiple bags with the same serial number. Your translation of the date code portion of the prefix is correct. 69 identifies the factory where the bag was made.

The target-like stamp means it was sold in an outlet store. Looks authentic to me.

Can someone please authenticate this? I may try to rehab it and remove the nail polish (!!!!! whyyyyyyyyyy!)

style number shown is 9946, not 9966. I think the hardware (ring on zipper pull) is incorrec. Buckle is stamped SOLID BRASS.

I contacted seller. She insists that it is authentic, did her research, contacted Coach. ITem was a gift.

I suggested that she search listings for Coach 9966 and Coach 9946. She insulted me.

I am trying to help her. Sent her currrent Coach web URL for Legacy zip showing 9966 on bag.

I have found that it isn't worth it to argue with a seller about authenticity unless you have already bought it. You can get in trouble with ebay for harassing the seller. Just report it and let ebay take care of it.
