Please Read the Rules that you Copied & Pasted in your post, especially the first line that says "Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated..." A Search of either the seller or the auction number would have led you to the post.

I did not ask until now. I saw on Ebay & want to make an offer. I cannot see any thread about that bag. Can you please tell me why you think it is a fake.

The serial number is wrong, the number font is wrong, the zipper pull is wrong and the hardware is wrong, among other things.

The seller also claims that it was authenticated at a Coach store, but Coach employees aren't trained to recognise fakes especially not bags that are supposedly almost 20 years old. Coach says right on their website that they DON'T authenticate.

All I know is it isn't a Coach. It looks like someone thought they could get a little more money for it by putting the Coach name on it. You can report the listing for being counterfeit. It is against ebay policy and the law.
