We've been repeating that Korea Rule here ad nauseam for at least 4 years, and it's in at least 2 or 3 of the Salearea Coach Guides posted at Ebay AND in my Fakes List at the Answers to Authenticity Questions thread AND in Daria48's Fake Serial Numbers List posted at Ebay, and even comes up when you Google "Coach fakes Korea".

And there's also the "Authenticate BEFORE Buying or Bidding" nag phrase that we keep repeating.

There's a ton of good information here. I don't understand why people don't make better use of it.

I'm not trying to be a smart arse, but why not Bookmark those links, or why not print out some of this stuff like a lot of resale and thrift store shoppers here already do? And why not just ask?

No one who spends any kind of time at this forum should ever have a "scrap leather pile", that's why we volunteer hundreds of hours of our own time authenticating and even more writing posts and Guides so that people don't have to make scrap piles of the fakes they bought.

ETA - Sorry if I sound harsh, but it's incredibly frustrating when you give good advice and it's just passed over.

Hi I'm newly posting on TPF although I have been lurking around for a while...
Anyways, I am pretty sure that these are authentic but I would rather be safe than sorry so;

This one on ebay:

Item: Hunter Green Coach Court Bag 9870
Listing number: 271171478719
Seller: devonsnew2you
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Near-Vintag...719?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item3f231464bf
Comments: I also asked the seller if it came from an outlet as it has the "target" shaped stamp near the creed and the reply was:
"This bag was originally made for the full price retail store. In 1995 the outlets only sold overstocks from the full price store (they didn't have their own line of merchandise like they do today). Judging from the bulls-eye stamp near the creed, this bag was sent to and sold from the outlet (my guess would be it was an overstock item). To obtain this same bag today, you would have to order directly from the full price retail store. The factory store would not carry this bag today. Hope this answers your question. Thanks for your interest, "

I also have my eye on this one on etsy:

Item: Green Leather Satchel/Crossbody
Listing number: -
Seller: GrandmaFliesABroom
Link: http://www.etsy.com/listing/1117557...a_ship_to=US&ga_page=3&ga_search_type=vintage
Comments: i don't know much about pre-90's coach bags but from what I've read it seems like it is from the 80's

Thank you!

Is the Court bag as bright of a green as it appears in the pictures? The bottle green from that year was more subdued a color, I think. Other than that, it looks fine. The station bag is probably from the early 90's. It looks fine too.

ETA: Sorry, for some reason, I thought you had already bought the court bag.

Please wait for other opinions on this bag from GrandmaFliesABroom. I would hit the back button on listings from sellers who neglect to authenticate their items before listing them.

I have doubts about this listing from the same seller. I don't believe that the style number is correct for the bag:
http://www.etsy.com/listing/115323289/ivory-leather-coach-crossbody-messenger?

Please look at these:
And these seem to have an incorrect plant country code based on where the bag was made:
http://www.etsy.com/listing/125536496/vintage-coach-9790-black-leather-city

http://www.etsy.com/listing/125532050/coach-large-black-legacy-slouch-9966

I haven't gone through all her (many) Etsy listings, but I believe that GrandmaFliesABroom should be doing a better job validating her items.

ETA: Is this what style 4157 is supposed to look like?
http://www.etsy.com/listing/125513973/coach-vintage-black-4157-handbag-purse?

I know 9927 doesn't look like this:
http://www.etsy.com/listing/100686207/large-ivory-leather-coach-crossbody?

I neglected to look at her other listings when I authenticated the station bag, which still looks okay to me. Where does she find so many fakes?

Can you authenticate these please?

item number: 121077708597

Thank you very much
Both look good. The rambler isn't as old as the seller says. I believe the style wasn't introduced until 1986. I just got a trail bag like the second one. It is so cute!

Hi All!

Thanks!

We don't use the zippers to authenticate. We need pictures of the whole bag and the creed patch or inside label.

^^^ And the reason for that is that 99.9% of fakes use zippers that are marked as "YKK" because the counterfeit-makers read the same guides as many buyers and sellers.

Coach has used several different brands of zippers over the years, none of which prove or disprove authenticity.

Please post a link to the listing as well as other pictures including front, back, creed. If more pictures are needed, specific ones will be requested.

I can say that none of your listings show pictures of the creeds and collage-type listings are difficult to see important details.

I neglected to look at her other listings when I authenticated the station bag, which still looks okay to me. Where does she find so many fakes?
It's almost like GrandmaFliesABroom shops for fakes in order to find so many. (There are 5 pages of listings in her Etsy store. I only went through about 2.5 pages.

mmmm.......
Seller offers "Free Shipping".....but.....

In "Return Policy"....it states...."Buyer pays two way shipping fees, even if free shipping was offered, the original shipping fee will be subtracted from refund."

HUH?????...............
I can understand the seller's point of view. I wonder if ebay is okay with this. I know sellers are allowed to charge a restocking fee but that is usually a percentage.

ETA: I just read her return policy. I don't see how you can say returns are accepted in bold print and then have a caveat that says only if item was grossly misrepresented. Obviously, she put the 14 day return policy to get top rated seller status.
