I usually wrap a small terrycloth towel or an old t-shirt around the top.

Please disregard the above - the authentication would now be for information only, as somebody snagged this bag while I had it in my cart. I considered buying it and authenticating later, but this time that didn't work out. Hope the person who got the bag really enjoys it - looks to be in great shape!

Just for the record, the year code was OK for that plant.
