Hi everyone! Whenever anyone has a moment, could you authenticate this bag I picked up at Savers Thrift Store this evening for 12.00.....# L4G-9826.....It looks brand new and matches perfectly several other ones I saw when I googled. Could I have the name as well - have seen it called a small flap bag or a crossbody sling....it measures 5"L x 5"H x2"D and is a beautiful dark green color with no blemish to be found. As always, thanks so much all!!

Ok, I see what you mean. But it's always possible that a large plant like the D plant would have had more than one serial number stamp, so minor differences in the digits can't be used as proof without some other information to back that up. For instance here's a D plant bag from a year earlier that has the same details in the serial number as the bag you're wondering about, and I don't see any other problems with either bag.

and another:

And here's the creed of the first one, the second is the same except for the color:
(Nice to see the thumbnails are back)
Thank you so much. I learn so much from you!

The wallet is fake.
Wait for Hyacinth on the Taft. I don't have a good feeling about it either.

OK, I'm really not posting this for authentication, but I'm really kind of curious and if you have time to look at it, fine, if not-it's too late the bag already sold.

I ran across this auction a little while before it ended, and it caught my eye because it is similar to the bag posted below, and I have not ever been able to find another burgundy bag with nickel hardware, even after perusing the way back machine quite a bit while researching my bag:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Caoch-Rambl...03deJBWbXvmKXxqKgI6XY%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

I asked the seller to post the creed and he said he would and never did. But looking at the details of this bag, and the details of my bag...just made me curious. The stitching is pretty much the same, the leather looks kind of the same too. The leather on my bag was almost OK for a new coach, I thought it was a little too wrinkley, but not quite wrinkley enough to raise a flag if it hadn't been for the stitching issues. Of course, mine has the funky creed too.

So, not sure why I'm posting this. I realize there is not enough info to authenticate the listing and I'm not trying to prove my bag is real, I just thought I'd bring it up as something to keep in mind when looking at these bags.

I have an authentic Rambler's Legacy in burgundy with nickel hardware made in 1999 in the US. There is no seam in the edging on the bottom of the bag. The leather is super smooth. If you want pictures of anything to compare with, please let me know.

Fake Op Art fabric on the outside with Signature C lining? And SIDEWAYS lining at that? And in the photo of the zipped coin pocket it doesn't even look as if the lining goes all the way to the bottom of the pocket. There's nothing right about that wallet.

I have a bad feeling about the Taft too. That T plant code always seems to have some kind of problem, and I'm not sure about the hardware - the seller describes it as "light gold silvertone"? The strap grommets look silver and if the buckle isn't brass or isn't silver then WTH is it?? 1997 Coach handbags should ONLY have brass hardware, except for a few Soho styles.

There aren't enough photos for an authentication. Please send more when you receive the bag. I'll say it again, please authenticate BEFORE buying.

Cute! It's called a mini Belt Bag.

Thanks Hyacinth! I filed right away and even called eBay to see if I could escalate it. They said I could only if the seller agreed to it on the dispute details form. It's strange though as I tried to send another message to the seller and it wouldn't go. The page has now been removed by eBay.

I just now got another message from eBay:

The seller has asked eBay Customer Support to review this case and make a final decision.

We'll review the case details, such as messages sent in the Resolutions Center about this case and other emails sent through eBay between you and the seller. If we have questions, we'll get in touch with you. We'll get back to you within 72 hours.

What is this seller thinking? Does she think she won't have to pay for the refund? Maybe she thinks the eBay Buyer Protection will cover it for her? I'm puzzled!

They did BeenBurned, but it has now been removed by eBay. I was the idiot buyer! I had eye issues and thought I was bidding on a different pair of sunglasses. Stupid - right? The crazy thing is the seller told me to file a dispute to get my money back! All I can think is maybe she thinks I'll get paid by eBays buyer protection and not by her????

Thank you!!!! I'm glad to get lots of attention from eBay for this seller! Y'all rock! :-D

No one ever said that fake-selling sellers were geniuses!

Hopefully the account ding after having 3 pairs of fake designer sunnies removed will prevent her from listing more fakes. It's just too bad that you won't be able to neg her.

Call ebay and point out that the listing was removed and you don't want to have to wait for your refund. Tell them that the seller isn't issuing it nor cooperating with you.

I'll second Hyacinth's advice re authenticating prior to bidding/buying.

If you haven't paid for the wallet yet, don't do it. And if you have paid, tell the seller you want a refund. If the seller isn't cooperative, leave appropriate feedback right away because if the listing is reported and removed, you won't be able to leave feedback after the fact.

Note that I suspect that loffmimi16 knows her item is fake and her feedback attempt to "prove" authenticity by showing an outlet box has failed miserably.

$15.79 (including shipping) is about $15.78 too much to have paid, even for a fake.

This one is certainly no genius! I just got an email from eBay Buyer Protection issuing me a UPS return shipping label at no cost to me. They said they will track the package and when the seller receives it they will issue me a full refund.

I wonder why they want her to have them back as she'll probably sell them elsewhere. Wish they would have them shipped to them instead. Then they could see what she was selling. But at least I'll get my money back and i will never, never, ever make a bid with dilated eyes again! (x_x)

Thank you all for you advise and help. I do appreciate you! :-)

Hi! I'm new to this forum and was hoping that someone could help me authenticate a bag that I bought off ebay. I only found out about PF now, so I'm sorry that I'm not authenticating before I buy!

Item: Coach Station Bag
Item Number: 321074395845
Seller: Syncortech

Thanks so much, ladies!

It looks genuine.

I wonder if the seller will include the 1991 catalog? (Probably not, those things are almost as valuable as the bags).
