Comments: Could someone please take a look at this bag? I don't know that much but I didn't think Coach made bags with creed #'s like this?
Someone else should actually authenticate this, but I'd remembered reading somewhere back in this thread that occasionally the # changer going from bag to bag in the factory before 1994, would occasionally not get re-set properly causing a strange # series like this. But I am NOT the expert on this!!

Comments: Is it impossible for there to be an "I" in the month code, or did they sometimes make mistakes?
Thanks

I have seen the letter "I" used on a few authentic bags, but I've never owned that bag and can't compare details.

But, check this one out - same identical letters and numbers. Were they having a bad day at the factory?

:confused1:

Mistakes like that show up once in a while, more often from non-US plants but mistakes could happen anywhere. Both bags seem to be genuine Beaumont Satchels.

Also Search this forum for recent posts about the same seller or style name since I remember already seeing one request for authentication for that or a very similar bag. Post # 1 also suggests the same.thing

I did run a search for the Pilot bag using various description key words and got no results.

I'll check on the other issues and if I need more help, I will reply again. Thank you.

Is that the same bag you asked about at the ID This Coach thread at the main Coach forum?

And is this the Bonanza link?

and the Ebay link?

They're the same bag and it looks genuine. It would have been better just to post a link to your other post.

I agree - that they sometimes make mistakes... Recently purchased a bag from the outlet (Floral Applique Duffle) that was missing a letter in the creed. I checked eBay for listings with the same bag, and they were all missing that letter - some sort of problem with the stamp, maybe?

Possible.

Thank you!

Item: COACH COURT BAG 9870 TAN
Comments: I am not sure if it is authentic, could someone please take a look at it? it feels like not leather, there is crisp sound when touching the leather. the following are pictures, thanks very much.

All I can judge by are the details, the creed and the serial number. All of those look ok. The leather grain is strange, but the hardware looks real. It may just be a poor quality bag that shouldn't even have been released from the plant. There's an outlet mark which could mean it had to be reduced in price to be sold. It doesn't look as if the previous owner used it very much, maybe they didn't like the leather or the noise either.

I can't comment on the feel or sound of the leather itself. You may want to take it to a shoe repair shop or someone who specializes in leather repair

Hi,
I just found out my 2 little nieces love Coach so when I saw this I thought I'd pick it up on the chance it was genuine.

If you need more pictures, please let me know.

Thanks!
