I have not seen many other bags with this style #. Looks like a Sheridan? But want to see if authentic before buying. The seller doesn't give any measurements, so if you need them, I can try and respond with more info. it's a "buy it now" at great price so on pins n needles that it stays on long enough for me to get this checked out.

It may have been an early version of it, or a bag that isn't in any of my files. There's no other style that looks like it but I don't have a lot of catalogs from the 70s and 80s.

It's a Sheridan Sheffield Bucket. Coach gives the measurements as 9x10x5, with a 39-inch strap.

I did run a search for the Pilot bag using various description key words and got no results.

I wouldn't trust a seller that doesn't use her own pictures.
According to the Salearea guides, occasionally you will find an 8 digit serial number in pre 1994 bags. Please wait for Hyacinth or Demram to confirm the authenticity.

I have seen the letter "I" used on a few authentic bags, but I've never owned that bag and can't compare details.
But, check this one out - same identical letters and numbers. Were they having a bad day at the factory?
