Thanks. I figure it must be older than 1997 because from what I can see of the tiny pictures in the Internet archive, the pockets of those don't seem to be stitched.

I don't know the exact dates. Even the physical catalogs I have don't show the edges very clearly and the wallet pictures are usually too small to see the details clearly. At least I know the dates the Sheridans were made so it gives me a valid time period. The Sheridans (1992 thru 1995) I checked are stitched, the slightly later Sonomas aren't. So AFAIK the changeover would have happened in the early to mid 1990s.

We talked about the same style here just a few weeks ago.

Mini-C patterns sometimes couldn't be lined up evenly, most of them will be "off" along one seam or another. Please don't ever use seam alignment to try and authenticate Mini-C patterns. Even standard Sig C fabric doesn't always line up along the seams. Whatever "authenticity guide" you found that advice in, please ignore it.

Coach's own website photo for that style has a similar seam. See the pics below.

Thanks, Hyacinth. I'm new to the board and hadn't seen the original post. I did a search but must of missed it. Still on a learning curve .. I'll figure this all out eventually :smile1:

I most likely read or heard about the pattern thing ages ago online elsewhere or via word of mouth. I honestly can't remember. But I know better now - thanks heaps!

3- DON'T REPORT THAT WALLET!
Coach wallets used stitched edges on the CC slots up until the early or mid 90s. My Sheridan wallets are stitched. Please DON'T report heat-sealed wallets unless they're obviously newer than the mid-90s.

ETA - I should have said "Don't report stitched wallets unless they're newer than the mid-90s" - sorry!

Thank you for that information. I didn't know that older wallets had stitching on the pockets.

NYC Convertible Clutch
Seemed great except that back inner zipper brass color worried me. Again, I never know if this is a replacement or what.

The Creed was faint, but does have " No. 710-9748"
Dimensions are : 11.5"W x 7.5"H x 3"D. Strap drop about 16"

(nice, glitchey image shack again)

My NYC convertible clutch which was authenticated here has the same color zipper pull.

Hyacinth, I should make sure of your thoughts on this one before I try to sell her. I had posted it a few days back, but I wasn't sure if you saw it, or had an answer, even. THAnKS AGAIN!!

Yes, I saw it. Whateve has one for comparison so her opinion on that style is a lot more dependable than mine, but it looks ok to me too.

I just wanted to post an enormous THANK YOU to our fabulous authenticators who have helped us all through the years! I enjoy reading your posts, seeing the pictures, deciphering the fakes, and using your expertise....
My husband bought me a fabulous purse (non-coach) for Christmas this year just as "something different" as he put it....and I do love it...and wanted to purchase a wallet to go with it from the same label. I found a wallet and tried and tried to get an "authentication" from another sub-forum of the purse forum...and never rec'd a response! I have checked back daily (since December 26th) and realized today that NOBODY has rec'd an answer to their queries on that site.
I am, once again, so incredibly thankful to our lovely, knowledgeable authenticators who take the time to make sure questions are answered in such a timely manner!!!!
Love to you all!

Hi everyone!

I have 3 bags that my landlord brought to me that he bought at an estate sale. I've tried to do some research on them and I have found bags that are very similar to 2 out of the 3 and one that looks like a Coach, but I don't think it is...funny thing is, that is the only one out of the three to have a creed in it. They aren't in the greatest condition, but still hoping to find some info on them.

I hope someone can help!

1.
Item Name: I believe it's a Cashin - it's gray with the kiss-lock coin pouch on the front.

2.
Item Name: I think this might also be a Cashin? Not sure.

3.
Item Name: Unsure...possibly a Beekman or Willis? However, every photo I've found of either of those, it has two separate rings where the shoulder strap attaches. This does not.

#1. Cashin "Skinny Tote". Authentic.

#2. NOT Cashin - but Authentic Coach "Watermelon Tote".

#3. Appears to be authentic, though I don't know the name. It's not a Willis.

Since #3 is described as a briefcase it would help to know the actual measurements. My first guess would be a Shoulder Portfolio # 5160 if it's actually briefcase-sized.
