Howdy yall. Found this bag in an abandoned storage locker I bought, yes, like the tv shows, and was wondering if it was real since most of what was in it was very low quality. Also would like to know name, year, or anything else that one might know.

Serial No. 036-2102

This link is to only other bag like it i could find on the web, attached pics are of my bag. Also I couldn't get a great picture of the stamp because of the way it's in the bag and my camera stinks. More pics available if needed.

It's hard to be completely sure but it looks like a Chrystie Bag, style number 9892 if it measures about 7x5x3 inches. It was probably made some time around 1991. It's definitely real.

Comments: serial number K3H-9966. Seller is not original owner but claims authenticity based on YKK zippers :). I know this serial number prefix tends to be counterfeit on this style of bag.

Thanks so much!

I don't know about this bag but I would be curious to learn if Coach still made bags in the US in 2003.

I don't know the answer to Whateve's question but I wondered why the seller relisted the bag after having sold it in this listing. (It very well could have been a non-payer.)

As we've said a thousand times, YKK zippers don't prove a darned thing.

What worries me is that the inside pocket seems to be cut crooked. The right side of the top layer of leather seems to be shorter from top to bottom than the left side does. The difference in size right to left is even making the creed stamp look crooked.

I can't say for sure either way but that uneven pocket doesn't seem like something you'd find in a real Coach.

Hoping you guys can help me out. I bought this impulsively on ebay --before checking purse forum:no-good:

Description:COACH BLACK VINTAGE HANDBAG~EXCELLENT CONDITION~

Seller: lady10s

Listing Number: (200873843023)

Looks like a Patricia--just hoping it's real.

Thanks!

It may be ok but there just aren't enough photos to be sure. It would be good to see the strap end and buckle at one side and the entire inside pocket edge to edge. When you receive it, maybe you can post pictures of those areas? Please be sure to refer back to this post number or post URL if you do post more photos.

Hi ladies, im new here, can you help me with the NAME of this bag? Thanks

There just aren't enough photos. Even if it doesn't have a creed patch we'd still want to see the lining.

ETA - I was able to find a few small pics of a genuine one, the patches and hardware seem to match. But the hangtags don't, although that doesn't prove anything.

Again, no creed photo. But the strap buckles and leather grain on the straps in the third photo just don't look right to me - those aren't Coach buckles. That double Logo patch wasn't on the final production versions, only on the early website photos. I'm almost positive that one's fake.

Here are 2 Coach photos for style 11495, the first is almost identical to the final production version, the second one is earlier and invalid and wasn't made in that configuration. Of course it's always possible that an outlet version may have been made with different patches so please wait for more opinions.

Compare it to this listing, which seems genuine - the base of the bag should be Sig C fabric, not solid leather:

I don't see any red flags on the swingpack.

The bag is fake as is the wallet mnmidstokke also has listed. Note that the fake wallet was reported and moved on December 25 and she has relisted it.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Very-Slight...t-/130828708334?pt=Wallet&hash=item1e75ffa9ee

Please report both.

ETA: Another pattern problem is on the center front of the bag. On both the actual marketed version as well as the invalid version, the patch to the left of the ocelot patch (center front) is supposed to be lurex. On the seller's fake, it's khaki signature jacquard fabric.

Here's a listing for an authentic listing for the same style bag:
