I'm wondering too.

Either the year code or the plant code is missing a digit. If the year code is 06 then the plant code is 9 but the creed says India. If the YEAR code is missing a number then the plant code is 69, and both plants 9 and 69 indicate China, not India. 2006 seems too old to have been made in India, and the style code in bags made later than 2006 usually should have a 0 in front of the 9790. The pic of the zipper pull is a bit too blurry and I'd really like a clear photo of that too.

It either has mistakes in the plant or year codes which could be why it was sent to the outlet, or maybe it was some kind of pre-production item at a brand-new India plant, or it could be counterfeit. I'm not able to say for sure but I'm not comfortable with it especially since the plant code just doesn't check out.

Oh, and whatever year it was actually made, it's DEFINITELY not vintage.

Grabbed this bag at a charity thing thinking I would turn it into a craft project and then it occurred to me that it's obviously vintage and maybe I shouldn't do something dumb... So there are no "made in..." tags and no Coach creed. The kisslock does have a "B" on it and the gold trim is scratched off to silver. Any ideas for a ballpark year and what it might be worth to a collector if it's anything? Watermelon or Cashin?

The B is for the manufacturer of the hinge (Branson). The bag loos ok.
